As there is a smaller Euro playerbase, it may make an events section less active - plus, there are also the server areas to announce stuff on

Valid points GG i'll give you that but non the less a reason not to have one. It correlates all information on anything going on in one place without the need to search, flick or otherwise get lost to find ^^
I can think of one forum section that springs to mind that would be less active but still has its own section.
