No, it is challenging if you're a melee toon. It's boring and utterly depressing if you're a non-melee toon. As per usual, not bothering with that. I'd like to retain a semblance of what little life I have left.

They really ought to swap things around so Published-play badges have the higher needed values and Test-play badges have the lower ones. After all, you're more likely to play through a ton of published arcs, than to test a gazillion of your own; this is assuming you don't just farm them.
They've done that with the tickets - you need 25k for the top one on live, but only 10k for the top one on test.

Ah, good to hear; my own shameless badge-farmage has been limited to getting the Mission Engineer accolade (more for comfort than bragging rights), so I was only specifically aware of the Defeat badges being odd.
I think the requirement for the Virtual Slayer should be dropped to 25000 enemies defeated in test. Just **** Terminator. Infant. All 5 requirements for defeats in test should be the same as the requirements for custom enemies in published arcs/missions. Or swap the requirements round, Virtual Slayer is 25000 and Terminator is 50000.
Just a thought.
