Ice/Mental/Ice Blaster . Final Build.
What about this? It's pretty much the build of my Ice/Mental before I changed to elec mastery. The powers are exactly the same, I just added some purples and the LotG.

you should really pick ice storm. me myself have not got that till 2-3 weeks ago but it has its use. propably ill et it earlier after my next respec.
also , do you really need acrobatics? which you will pay a lot of inf to this build , so think you can buy a -kb universal travel IO. and change to super speed for travel , so you can free up 2 powerslots.
I dont like ice storm because in most teams a big part of its damage is made negligible if the team is fast paced. Frost breath + psy scream + psy shockwave usually do enough damage on their own to cripple most spawns. Add your team's damage to that and ice storm becomes quite useless.
As to acrobatics, I picked it because I had 1 power slot free and it doesnt need additional slotting. Also I prefer SJ to SS because in most cases they're equal and SJ is better (IMO) if you need vertical travel.

for the SJ , i thought the same with you , but later i see that you can buy the raptor back for the vertical travel ,so stiched to SS from SJ.
and ice storm is not only a damage power.. its area slow is good , and works great with the blizzard tho.
but as always , the toons are our toys , so its the thing is the get the best fun from them..
Did you mean to have Freeze Ray instead of Bitter Freeze Ray?
He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.
IMO Freeze Ray is much nicer than Bitter Freeze Ray, utility wise at least as the duration, activation and recharge on Bitter Freeze Ray make it more of a damaging power than a quick panic hold

They were appropriately appalled

They're now putting it all together.

agreed. freeze ray is way much better then bitter one, but bitter one is good if you have a gamestyle which suits it.
for me , i never thought of getting it.
In terms of DPA, DPE and DPS, Bitter Freeze Ray wins by a mile.
In terms of EPS Bitter Freeze Ray is only slightly worse.
In terms of HPS Bitter Freeze Ray is only slightly worse.
Not a lot of difference in those 2 factors, actually negligible.
Freeze Ray however recharges in half the time for 2 spammed holds.
With all the bonuses and same slotting getting a second hold with Bitter Freeze Ray would take 4 more secs which still means Freeze Ray recharges in half the time.
The greater the Damage done by every power the lower the fight duration potentially.
With all the other powers I would be wondering whether the utility of a nearer spammable double hold is needed. Can I afford to wait 8 secs or do I need 4 secs? Only playing will know I guess.

I took the epic hold over BFR because it unlocked other powers I wanted. I dont tent to use the holds all that often on my blaster where pure damage normally outdoes the hold. I did originally have BFR as well as the other two holds but IMO it was the one that was least useful. If I needed something held I needed two fast applying holds, BFR is better than it used to be, but still not great

hello forum. as the game down for i14 surplus , its time to spend some time outside of the game. so I'm sending the final build of my beloved ice/mental blaster.
She is designed for perma-hasten , +dmg and +acc. She has not got any kind of survivability except her hibern00bness and moarfrost , which makes her a bit hard to play outside of the teams , but as a non-soloer I'm fine with that.
the purpose of this thread to get some more advice in that way , I'm open to all advices , whatever they'll cost to me , which I dont spend money for my other toons.
so here is the build :
