Indeed you do, and it also takes your difficulty setting into consideration as well.
Also you get raised to the minimum level if your below it

I'll just chip in that custom mobs have a range of 1-50, so if you play verses them you'll always play at your level.
It also sets it to your level when you start the mission, if thats your real level or not. For example if your level 30 and you are sidekicked to 49, the mission will be set to 49.
