Active and Inactive Cysts

A few days ago, I did the "Defeat Requiem" mission you get from Sunstorm for his last arc, and was surprised to find that the Cysts that spawn there are inactive. I thought Cysts spawning in normal missions was an accident? If so, how come those ones get amazing summon abilities, but the ones I get sent to smash don't?

I've noticed that with my PB, any cysts she has attacked in the last couple of weeks have just sat there like lemons. Problem is it's only in the last couple of weeks I've tried soloing the damn things anyway so I didn't know if that was normal for a single Kheldian attacking a cyst or if they were broken. Their presence certainly wasn't accidental though, the missions were specifically to destroy the cysts.

I've not gotten that far yet on my peacebringer, but I'll hazard a guess that since the cysts in the ITF are 'inactive' aswell that this is WAI.

Isn't that mission 'defeat requiem and x number of cysts'? In which case they are there as destructable objects rather than real cysts.

I can't say I have every noticed any other non-spawning cysts aside from that mission.

The ones on the ITF which are the mish objectives are but the extras that spawn next to them give a nice little surprise to the rest of the team especially as you don't know which is which.

Was on an arc, this happened in a couple of consecutive missions where cysts had to be destroyed. I hadn't done this arc before so I didn't know if they were objects, I guess they were since they spawned nothing.

Yeah you gotta love that, I had that mission spawned one real cyst next to the target cyst, then the ambush spawned another cyst right on top of us
