Mouse Issues

Coolio

Hi, just wondering if any of you use a Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000 (usb) with City of... and if you've had any problems with the scroll wheel. I got one today and for some reason it either works really, and i mean, really slowly, or not at all.. Also using it to click and rotate the camera doesn't work at all..

I tried all the usual stuff (installing the CD software, uninstalling the CD software), going into the mouse options, scroll wheel speed etc, assigning buttons.. Went into the game and re-assigned the buttons i wanted to use, but all to no avail. The scroll wheel works fine with things like IE, just not with the game. Any suggestions would be welcome. If i can't get it sorted out it'll be going back tomorrow.

Got the same problem with my mouse (tho i have an Wireless laser mouse 6000).

Scroll wheel does not work for zooming in and out in CoH, everywhere else it works fine except CoH.

Uninstalling the software and letting windows use the basic mouse functions fixed it so i can hold mouse wheel to rotate camera, but scrolling to zoom doesn't work.

Not sure if "Compatible Cursors" will fix the scroll-wheel zooming issue. But you could always try.

Myself I'm having some cursor issues. Don't know if any graphics were changed recently but my game-cursor isn't showing more then half the time.
I didn't have this problem yesterday. I didn't see any updates except the pre-i14 download.
I haven't tried the compatible-cursor line yet.
But I find it kinda strange that this suddenly pops up.

After trying all kinds of things i finally took the mouse back and got a Logitech LX8 Cordless Laser Mouse, which works fine. The only thing that a friend of mine can think of is that the compatibility issues with the Microsoft mouse might have something to do with the 'soft scroll' wheel (ie it doesn't click when you roll it, unlike other mice).
