Give this ago.
Select Options, General Tab, Scroll down to Chat Settings File and then select Load From Default File. It should reset your chat/tab settings and bring back the main Chat Tab.
I stupidly deleted the main chat tab aswell during a TF and this worked for me.

A thing like that happened to me as well. After a long long long search I found out the option for the top and bottom tray. It is sure well hidden!
Sorted, thanks alot for the help. Now Power-Play can see whats being said to her! Hopefully I won't be deleting anymore tabs

Hey all, sorry if this is covered elsewhere, I did a search with no joy!
Anyways tonight I was doing a spot of solo'ing and started sorting my chat tabs/channels. Being half asleep I stupidly deleted the main chat tab, I tried to get it back by making a new one but nothing. If I type anything into local I can't see it (or whatever others are saying...same happens when teaming) and in broadcast I can see what I say in the upper chat box but not the lower one
Any help would be great as I'm cursing myself at my stupidity - luckily its only effecting one toon!
