Does Burn (Fiery Aura) roll to hit?

Mids' Designer and the game's Real Numbers display an accuracy value for it but it doesn't accept Acc enhancements.

If you slot an Acc/Dam for example though both Mids' Designer and the game's Real Numbers display an increased accuracy - is this a display mistake or does it really have an effect?

Any ideas on my second question?

Considering it doesn't let you slot a single-aspect Acc enhancement it's inconsistent one way or another.

Well, I honestly wouldn't know from experience. It could be either way. There's several powers in the game that don't take regular enhancements for a specific attribute, but multi-aspect enhancements do enhance the attribute anyway. Example: Mind Link and Vengeance don't take Recharge enhancements, but set IOs and Hami-Os can enhance their Recharge.

I wouldn't know if this works for Burn with Accuracy, though.

Burn has no accuracy component, but I could well believe it has a very high to hit. I've never seen Burn miss (I have 3 firey aura toons; 2 at 50) - which makes it especially useful against high def, fear resistant mobs like Rikti Drones.

(lets face it, if someone sticks a 4ft wide bonfire underneath you, you ain't gonna dodge it are you?)

Considering you can dodge a nuclear explosion in this game..........

They were appropriately appalled

They're now putting it all together.

Burn has a normal accuracy modifier of 1.00. The reason you have never seen it miss is that, much like rain powers, it does not play a 'Miss' message. It is good for hitting high def mobs but that's more to do with the sheer number of damage ticks rather than the power's accuracy.

The reason it, and Rain powers, don't display a "Miss" message is because they're pseudopets. Pets don't display "Miss" messages to their owners.

I randomly experimented with it in Arena PvP and it seems to miss a LOT there.

When I say "It doesn't miss" I don't mean "I see no miss message" I mean "Normal powers have no effect on the hp of the target, whereas burn whittles it down quicker than a flame thrower against a candle" - tho' I concede this is probably more down to the number of hits rather than their accuracy.

I can confirm that burn patches can miss. I had multiple bubbles stacked on my arachnos soldier and he quite happily stood in the middle of a burn patch taking very little damage.

I think the fact that it ticks so fast makes people believe that it is autohit.

Yep. I used it in the arena against a Super Reflexes scrapper wuth Elude after asking him to stand in it; I think it only chipped him like 5 times.
