Hey, I was wondering if anyone out there could help me out with a good build for my Energy Melee/Shield brute.
I want him to be good mostly at PVP but can also do some PvE aswell.

Thanks a lot, I appreciate the help

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Do you have Mids planner?

He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.

Here's the build. I was thinking of switching epic power pools and whirling hands for tough and weave perhaps?

Thanks a lot.

Some things i would do diffrently.
4 slots in health and stamina is kinda pointless, the 4th SO add a measly 5%.
Build up i would slot with 3 Recharge reducing SOs.
Shield Charge i'd slot with 3dmg 3recharge. And make sure i use build up prior to it. They're on the same recharge.
Taunt in Against All Odds i dunno. It taunts plenty without any, put some end reducers in it.
Phalanx Fighting doesn't really benefit well with slots. It's a team power really, and since you didn't pick Grant Cover i wonder if you mostly plan to solo.

You have a pretty hefty end drain too, at 1.07 end/sec. Slot some End reducers in your toggles and you can get it down to 0.80 end/s which is a fair bit more manageable.

Just how i'd do it.
Shield Defense is a set which benefits greatly with IOs. Costly, but it can make for a world of a diffrence.

I was thinking of getting set IO's for the 4 slot Stamina - Efficacy adaptor?

Thanks for the slotting advice i'll take it into consideration when i respec.

What do you think about my general power choices?

Thanks again

Whirling hands is already the stinker power in Energy Melee in PvE, you hardly need it at all for a mostly-PvP focused build.

I would pick up grant cover for the extra def debuff resistance

Some more slots in Aid Self might not be a bad idea either. Maybe a recharge and an interrupt.

Thanks for the help guys. I ended up replacing the epic powers and heal powers for Tough and Weave and Hasten. I've also sorted out my slotting.

Cheers ^^
