Mercs/Poison
Hmmmm... no.
They got few nice gimmicks, but any class with a breakfree trashes your mercs faster then you can say 'shoot them!'.
In PvP SL is the most and commonly resisted of em all, even if you can lockdown a oponent, they merely are tickeled by the damage your mercs do. Only against melee and a trashload of -slow (no use against ice/ then) you have a change, or at least my Merc/TA had.
Added, all the 'gimmicks' tier2 have are all on a rather long recharge, relying on them is bad.
Bots would be way nicer, as they also have heal abilties, their are less stupid. Even Thugs are pretty fun in PvP, although i true like my necro. They are squishy, but they got more control and have nice -tohit debuffs.

Breakfree's aren't working anymore. There is only status resistance.
Also, resistances are much more balanced between each other in PvP now.
Ahh forgot the new cr.. pvp. Even then i dont believe they would perform any better then all the other primairies.

With the current rules procs aren't resisted so i don't think it would be as shabby as one would think. Sure it would be outperformed by necro nin and probably thugs.
I'm sure you could come up with a cool duel build but the problem is noone knows the dr caps for sets and the developers are for some reason hesitant to release them, which is odd since it would help them.
ummm resists go out the window in pvp now tbh itts all about defense and elsuivity

And most at´s have high resists to everything. Last thing i heard procs arent resisted when they trigger, may have changed though.

Well, here goes. I've decided to roll a mercs/poison for PVP. As silly as that is right now
But here are my reasons. The poison set is incredibly GOOD for single target pvp, and mercs have a good deal of single target lock down effects, mainly in their tier 2's. I am talking about web nade, flashbang and tear gas grenades. I know their base damage output isn't great, but now that they can be slotted for ridiculous ammounts of damage and -res procs, it doesn't look too nasty for them. Thoughts?
