Odd. When I bought it, it gave me the apply serial code at the end of the transaction, clicked the button, then on my main account and it connected.

Got a reply from support with a load of links telling how to do it, which is kinda worthless as it's done. Strange thing is that I now have two accounts with the same name, one playable til June 09 and the new one playable one month forward... but if I login I don't have access to the goodies from the Mac edition, so even if I wanted I can not use the new account. *confused* Wrote back of course and awaiting their reply.
Sounds like you've setup a brand new account rather than upgrading your previous one.

I bought the Mac edition to get the goodies to my current/old account but... I cant seem to add it to my existing account? If I click "upgrade account" I see the "City of Heroes® Mac Special Edition". I chose it and continue. Then I get 2 options:
1) Create a New Account Name and Password - I dont wanna do this, I wanna upgrade my old account.
2) Use Your PlayNC Account Name and Password - but if I choose this I have to pick a payment method etc but as it was muy only option (?) I did. And got another account. Stupid. But it did say upgrade account only it didn't. So ... well... I have contacted support but felt need of a small rant.
