Bugs that affect the game to this extent

[/ QUOTE ]You mean, not much? I, and many others, have not been bothered by it much, at least.
And the tell bug is circumventable with /r, so that's also not much of an issue anymore aside from being a minor annoyance. Since I, personally, mostly send people tells through globals, which are unaffected by the tell bug, it actually ends up saving me from the countless "wana farm m8" tells I used to get.

Just reminding y'all not to blow things out of proportion. These bugs are hardly even close to "game-wrecking".

This '/r' fix is not always even remotely useful. I've been getting tells that are completely unintelligible. Don't even have the name of the person sending them. I've tried using /r and it's been a complete waste of time. The game doesn't even appear to know who sent the tell. That sounds pretty close to wrecking peoples ability to get together on the game to me.

This power is awesome sauce

[/ QUOTE ]

Except when you're in Steel Canyon near the yellow line station and get a mission to Kings Row, decide to use the power to save you some travel time across KR, and the power then teleports you to a mission in Steel Canyon (farther away from the train station at that) instead of the selected one

[/ QUOTE ]

You need to ensure the mission is selected using the button beforehand i.e. ensure the mish target on the minimap is red not yellow - just clicking on the mish but not selecting it will leave you at the door of the first mish on your list.

Which means I'd have to go to the mission and enter it to make that the case - at which point I no longer need the teleport power.

Around the time the Mac pack was released there was a patch that fixed the "Select mission" button to be visible/working when not teamed.

I do not suffer from altitis, I enjoy every character of it.

This isn't quite true. I use the golbals most of the time, and get broken tells still. Often in the middle of a conversation.

Really? Typing /r and a message should send that message to the person who sent the tell, and also tell you who it was. I haven't had any problems with this at all.

I've tried it a couple of times - has never worked for me but I'll try it again next time I get a garbled message...if just one gets through it'll be worthwhile - possibly... It's been a frustrating couple of weeks...

I have had a few problems with /r as well. Not often but now and again.

[/ QUOTE ] are people doing /reply, then message? i do know a few people are not adding , after reply

Shouldn't need to add that, /r message works fine for me.

[/ QUOTE ]i could never get the /r to work for me but /r, will

Posted

Hmm, will have to check now, I could just do that by habit.

the /r works fine for me, never failed. (note that /r is *NOT* the same as hitting backspace) have never needed to add a comma.

Without fail it's always been the last 1-5 letters of the name of the person who has appeared as a tell.

[/ QUOTE ]/r is reply the COH shortcut to reply is backspace...if you don't believe me check your keymappings as backspace is default for reply

Posted

Actually, no, Forsaken. Hitting backspace will reply, but to the last person from whom you received a tell before hitting backspace. So if I sent you a tell and you pressed backspace, the message would already me addressed to me.

/r, on the other hand, replies to the last person who sent you a tell when you send your message. So if FFM sent you a message while you were typing a response to me using /r, he would get the message, not I.

Also, backspace does not reply to the tell bug, but /r does.

This appears to be dependant on the length of the name. Not sure how many characters it is, but if the name is shorter than that you won't get any letters.

Well lets hope that somewhere in this 80 odd Mb of latest patch there's a fix for this...

All TP powers are suppressed within Pocket D. You seem to be able to use it from the vault though (or Ski slopes when the lodge is open). I'm not sure if it works the other side of the lifts.
