Thanks for the great job, DD!

I love how you painted my nails!

Thanks for catching my smile, with just a hint (ok, a big dab) of my mischievous spirit!

RAWR!

My thank good Darth.

I used the ones you sent and messed about with fireworks:-

That's with fireworks alone? Nice done for a "messing around" session, Welshman!
I'm only capable of using the basics *giggles*.

I can't do the basics (draw) but I'm an expert at messing around(!)

Messing around is a vastly undervalued skill, that looks shiney

Heya DD.
These latest pieces are looking really good... that Amerikatt may be my new favorite from you (ok 2nd favorite after Xllusya ).

One thing I would point out though is I've noticed a lot of your recent works (Chichester, Tauppa Amerikatt, etc etc) are missing cast shadows. Most notably the one under the chin which, unlike a fold or bend, is one of the few places where you actually get a shelf effect i.e. the chin always protrudes over neck by several inches. In most pictures this should be one of your darkest shadows and by not including it the heads seem to float a bit rather than being anchored to the rest of the image.

It's one relatively quick thing you could fix that would add more believability to your pieces.
Cheers,

So I did a little shading on Pink Lioness after your advise.... is this what you meant? (before / after)

Yes indeed that looks much better.
There is a small white space near her jawline though that you could probably pencil in so the shadow goes right up to the line.
If seeing it in other pencil art helps at all, my most recent work on Battle Maiden is a pretty good example as even in a tiny thumbnail you can see
what having a well placed shadow under the chin can do. Click the thumbnail and then click on the "Download Image" button if you want to see it at the largest setting.

Right!
I'll give that a try Thanks!

Now.. as for another possible failure on drawing of that darn lizard man (sorry CODF), I came up with this....
You may recognize the most prettiest part of the drawing (yes...the head, done by the awesome Christopher Robin ).

*sighs tiredly* I again.. messed up the body.... though I'll give it another chance of fixing it.
CODF:... If I fail... I'm sorry to say I will have to drop your request of the lizardman...

... at least I won't have to worry about the neck shades, as Mr. CR has done that himself already *giggled*

Hahaha see it's almost like we've done 2 collaborations already.
Oh an I'm glad you got stuck doing the armor part... those shoulder pads are a royal pain for me and yours came out great.

The second one is better to my eye. Now just blend it a bit better so there is no hard visible line between the two dark shadows and I think you've got it.
(If the lighting for the piece is going to be really harsh and bright then visible lines between shades do happen
but if the lighting is softer or diffused then the more blended the better)

The shoulder pads were no problem tbh... it's the chest I'm having trouble with atm.
But I've asked for more references (and hope I'll get 'm soon), because the references I have do not show a good visual of the suit. And I can't figure out how it works... nor can I find it in my own CoH to have a good look at it :s.

I'll work on that! Thanks!
Even with a technical pencil it's really hard to get this one right.. everything is so tiny!
(using A4 paper, want to draw big... = impossible )[/color]

That's because it's the Cimeroran armor from the looks of it. You would only see it in your CC on characters who have been to Cimerora and unlocked it.
No worries I took a few close up shots of it for ya.
Here it is in white...

and in Brown...

Lol I run into that problem all the time too. That's why I've taken to doing the designs in pieces and putting them together in photoshop. That BattleMaiden I linked to up a few posts was drawn in 4 parts (head, body, hand+spear, wings) each on a separate sheet of paper so I can draw really big and get at all the little details. Same thing with Arete here... head and body on different pages.

Bless you CR! .
Indeed I didn't unlock the Cinemora stuff just yet.

I thought about drawing stuff seperately... though I'm not sure if my scanner will agree *grins*.
I should give it a try sometime I suppose .

Second preview of CODF.
I think the body looks better now.
And I also sketched on a few details of the armor (made possible by CR ).

The armor looks much nicer now DD and wohooo congratz on opening up for commissions.

P.S. If it helps anyone in the United States wanting to get something from DeeDee Productions the current exchange rate is 1.00 USD = 0.78 EUR.
While I cannot mention specific costs of the services here I will say you should not be concerned... we're talking less than a $3 swing. So grab one already n' stuffz!

When she actually opens that is.

Cheers CR!

I've been able to ink CODF some time ago and will have to shade the drawing to finish it.
Unfortunately RL is keeping me from drawing lately ... though I do not give up! .

Also I just wanted to share my "Super SAM" with you lot.
Next to drawing and writing, I've been working on my car, you see. And because I love CoX so much, I just couldn't help making my car a Superhero too *giggles proudly*.
My car is an Suzuki Alto, though I've altered it to an Suzuki Alto Mustang (aka SAM ).
Then I added my Super Sylly logo... which obviously is just the Superman logo, but in different colours ((thanks Superman, I couldn't have done it without you!)). So my car became Super SAM!

You'll be able to find more pictures on my dev art page (pictures from how it all started and stuff).
But this is what I have sofar! Meet Super SAM!

I'll be adding a cape, hopefully this weekend *grins*, just below the spoiler.

^what she said!

But be careful with the cape, don't want your hero car to be
villianized for blocking the back window...

I love your Super SAM, DD!! I can't wait to see SAM with the cape!!

I think you should mount it more or less over the top of the car and have it hang over the sides a little bit. that way it doesn't block the window and you can get more "cape-ness" to it.

Thanks all .

The cape won't be on there while driving . That's not aloud where I live and it's really not save as it would, indeed, block the rear window.
It will only be on for show when standing still.

Afterall.. savety first!
