On my options, it says you have to press backslash... COuld well be different on yours though...?
The menu pops up with backslash or # (hash, or pound if you're American). The # key is most usual.
You can also configure a key to log out, except, of course, you do that through Keymappings, which would need you to access the Options menu item...

There is no direct 'logout' slash command. However if you type /buycoh and click yes you get logged out to the main login screen.
One more question - What is the short cut to make the menu column appear?
Haven't we been through this? / or #, but if you mean making the list of options that appear by clicking on 'menu', there isn't one.

I happened to be talking someone that had just started playing the game earlier, and he said there was no xp bar/window in the corner either! Is this a known problem?
Yes. You need to ask your friend to type and enter /menu, then pick the option to reset all windows, highlighted here. This will restore the health/end/xp bar.
So... What is that, now that we no longer have a "Reset all Windows" button in the Options menu? Load from Default File? What if the person's default file is corrupted? (Or is that even possible?)
Trying to help someone who ran into this problem. I think I had this happen once and did the reset, but now the Options menus are different than they were then, so I'm a bit at a loss about what to suggest.
He's put in a support request. Maybe that will help. Even so, I'm curious!

Hi all.
Just logged in and all of my windows were closed so I hit some keys - m for map, t for target, n for nav & c for chat but I can't make the menu reappear - Which means I can't log out.
Help!
