Its been suggested a few times in the past and its a idea im personaly in faver of. As im one of those people that sit for a good 5 mins at the charichter select screen deciding what to play and knowing who if any of my global freinds were on before logging in would help.
Yup, I suggested this as well, with the extra idea of having a global chat ability so that you can talk to people before you log in with a toon as well.
Player A logs in
Player A sees player B on his lvl 26 brute
Player A - "hey mate, mind if I join you with my lvl 25 corruptor?"
Player B - "Sure, go for it!"
Player A logs in with said corruptor!
I know it's only about 30 or so seconds saved, but most QOL stuff is after all

more than 30 seconds to log in and log out again and log back in as another toon. not loads more (usually), but certainly would be easier
@craggy see me on Union for TFs, SFs (please!) or just some good ol fashioned teaming.
I would imagine the CoX Vault system was designed to handle this kind of thing. It just hasn't actually made it to a live web server anywhere near anyone.

Forgive me if this has already been suggested but i did a search and couldn't find anything.
I think it would be good to be able to see what Global Friends are online and what character's they are playing before we actually login a character.
I don't know about everyone else but i tend to team alot with my globals, we help each other out etc. I'm levelling a villain at the moment with one and it's just great working at an even pace.
It would be a hell of alot easier if i could see who was online and what with before i logged in because then i could make a decision on what i was going to play as.
I have no idea if this is even plausible, maybe it can come up with character select or even logging into the plaync website or something. All i know is it'd make my life easier! without having to login then relog to change characters.

GhostRaptor: Server populations have been trending upwards since Issue 13 release. There are no current plans for any server mergers and we're looking forward to Issue 14 and the rest of the year.
