Halloween even t seems to be here but....

I can't find any announcment about it - 1st thing I know I leave a mish and am attacked by zombies.

Is there an announcement somwhere or some more info?

"Zone Event Channel"? Can't find it in the channel search....

There's two System Event channels called Hero Zone Event Messages and Villain Zone Event Messages, both open by default. All you need to do is add them to a new or existing tab. No need to channel-search for them.

And you won't miss the invasions when they come - they attack very zone all at once - the alerts will fill your chat window

I logged on to defiant yesterday afternoon and discovered that the halloween event appeared to have been activated early, although I saw no zombie invasions. I did some trick or treating and managed to get most of the badges on a toon, but in this time only managed to spawn a couple of spirits. Any one else noticed that spirits seem to have a lower than normal spawn rate?

There were shag-all spirits, I think I saw one door spawn them in about 2 hours of TorTing yesterday and one more this morning when I was on for about 40 minutes. It's mostly 3 zombies, or two zombies with a Streng or a Witch. And the amount of times a sorceress and a werewolf come haring out the door with hurtin' on the minds is worrying - am I interrupting something?

Treats seem thinner on the ground than last year too - unless there's some trick to it that I'm missing? Does it make any difference if you're wearing a costume?

I manage to spawn plenty of warwolves, vampires and sorceresses , but next to no spirits. Haven't had this problem with previous halloween events so me thinks this may be a bug introduced when they tinkered with the door timers

Got about 4 spirits over the whole of Sunday - total over several characters, vampires seemed a bit low as well but nowhere near to the same extent. Werewolves otoh seemed almost as common as the zombies - was finding at least one if not two every second mob.

I've mainly encountered zombies, jack-o-lanterns and witches. Then werewolves, vampires and sorceresses. Sorceresses seemed a bit rare as I still need that badge for Flitz. I ran into few, if any, spirits.

VIGILANCE Captain Caledonia 20 - Yeah, I made toons on the French server coz we only had 4 back then (might have to transfer/recreate them on one of the US servers)
