Creative Genius Nominations - September 2008

Welcome to the nominations for September's Creative Genius!

Please use this thread to nominate submissions for the Creative Genius award for the month of September 2008.

Please be sure to familiarise yourself with the guidelines for the Creative board and the Creative Genius competition before making any nominations - you can read them here.

These nominations will remain open until 6pm GMT on Friday, October 31st. The winner will be announced on or before Wednesday, November 5th.

To nominate a submission, please post a link to the appropriate post.

There are some important rules to bear in mind when making nominations:

There were two I really wanted to nominate for last month, but the one that gets my slip in the end is:

Usurper 3 Prophecy - comic with special guest!

I’ve really been enjoying the story and the style and this issue had the added bonus of a forumite appearing. Not only this but it moved the plot on nicely and kept up the pace previously set.

They're not votes. This has been said again and again and again. Read the rules and UNDERSTAND them. 1 nomination, or 1 billion nominations, it's all the same. Only the FIRST one counts.

Wait, your saying if 1000 nominations were made for this, then 999 of them wouldn't count?

Edit: Thats the rule for nominating more than once for yourself, I nominated once and so did Soul_Storm.

No... you really should read the rules, word for word.
Doesn't matter who nominates... one one nomination will count, even if 1000 nominate the same piece, 999 will get ignored.

I would contend that a tribute song using lyrics to be sung to a tune by a popular recording artist counts as recording a version of a popular song with modified lyrics and may well disqualify that particular entry from the contest, anyway. Which is a shame, because I was laughing my head off when I read it.

But everyone else is right - all any particular piece needs is a single nomination. You're not voting like on X-Factor - you're drawing the judges attention to the piece. Any one person can do that, just as well as a thousand.

I'm looking through them now. Unfortunately I was too busy last week due to preparations for Mac and Issue 13 betas.
