Game Crashes when I change characters

To clarify, as there have been a couple of different things I've been trying to address here:
If you experience an issue, report it. Should it continue to be an issue and you have new information to add, update your existing petition. New petitions for the same issue from the same person are not needed and will simply clog up our systems.
My earlier posts in this thread were addressing the posts implying that reporting at all is a waste of time. I can assure you it isn't, and that those who actively choose not to report an issue are directly harming our ability to correct the issue.
Sometimes assuring us isn't enough.
Take a look what Ravenswing wrote above, the current system doesn't give enough feedback to the petitioner.
Think about how much help will provide to NCsoft's CC center if people could add their info under a problem that is already bugged. They won't need to categorize each one of them and send personalized answers. On the other hand, players will be able to report problems faster because the main report will be already there by the first who petitioned the technical problem. Also they will be able to see that they are not alone and the status of the problem (i.e. unconfirmed, investigating, fixing, etc).
Once again: It's current systems fault. Not yours explicitly and not ours.
But until this change, it's like intentionally making people to dislike petitioning bugs.
Plus they advise adding to the original ticket and update it....are you kidding?
So every time it happens, ie every time I play, I am supposed to go onto the nc page login, find the ticket, say oh look surprise I crashed yet again.........when its easier to do it ingame if I have to do it.
So much hassle for a 4 year old game whose login screen should be well working by now.

Ah, this is not fair. Login screen changed recently again and new bugs obviously introduced.
Yet, current web support system doesn't helping either...

I did say update it if you have any new information to add. You do not need to update for every single crash that occurs. Only update if anything about the crash changes (eg frequency, it stops crashing, the crash behaviour changes).

Sorry, I didnt want to be a pain with this issue, its just frustrating when it is happening every night along with the "shuffling" of my characters on the login screen now and again.
I would just rather be playing than verifying my files over and over.

The read-only trick on the playersolt file does not fix this problem. Just had it crash on me. Back to the drawing board.

This damn stupid bug is still happening every day and to both me and partner.
As we have both separately reported it, we cannot report it again as there is nothing new, , so if everyone can only report it once, I can only presume that the tech folk dont think its a problem as sod all has been done about it and it has been around for ages.
PLEASE PLEASE FIX IT AS ITS BLOODY ANNOYING!!!

I think it's supposed to be fixed on Test.
Or to be exact, the corruption in the data file is supposed to be fixed on test, so the crash swapping characters may be fixed.
See what happens when I13 hits live.
