Damage Badge "farming"
I think the red crystals don't count for that anymore.

Boo, Hiss, we hate red crystals.
Aren't you better just finding a low lvl street mob that ain't ever gonna finish you off and parking yourself in the middle of it. I imagine they'll probably just try smash your head in till server update.

Better in a mission really.
Find a nice quite spot, kill everything apart from one or two weak minions, then just leave it.
This has the added bonus of a) no auto log off for being afk, and b) nobody coming along and killing the NPC hitting you.
AFAIK the devs went through and stopped most, if not all of the auto-hit damage auras in the game from counting towards the damage badges, or at least made it hard to do (See Tyrant's map).
You know what they're like with their whole Risk vs Reward thing.

Just get a CoT paper mission and upset a guide or 2, and get them into melee range and put rest on. There knife attack does smash/lethal and dark damage (i think) that will knock a resting hero/villian down to 1/4 or a 1/3 health but will regen before the next attack. Some ATs like tanks with lots of passives may be able to farm 2 guides at once Just test and see what your toon can take/handle
Few things to note:
1) Crystals are not the most plausible way of damage farming due to rule 2
2) only damage done to your *base* hp counts (i.e. you have +200 health from accolades/bonuses you get hit for 300 dmg, only 100 of that dmg will count towards the badge)
ive done a bit of damage badge farming with a health IO in rest in front of two harlequin fencers, gets me down to a sklif of health but can have a full green bar before i get attacked again
otherwise, happy pc melting
Thats how I do it! And I informed the Tuarus of this method, nice to see him giving out some correct information
I think you will find I thought of that all by myself
Ok
Has anybody got a good hint about where to get a nice Oranbanga mission at level 50? I want to park my brute next to a red crystal to grab the damage badge(s).
