Need DB/WP/Mutant advice

I made my 2nd ever character the other day ,a DB/WP/mutant after previously only having a blaster on Heroes.

I only really know what to slot for my blaster (pretty easy....slot dam, dam, dam and more damage)but my Brute(ess) is another kettle of fish altogether.

She's only level 9 now but I think I'm already starting to notice a worrying deficiency, namely, the number of missed attacks.

So,saying that,I gave up one slot on each of my first 2 attacks for acc and even with 1 slot each I'm still missing a disturbingly large number of attacks.

Is damage important to Brutes? Is acc equally/more important? Is something else more important, such as recharge rate (maybe to help fury build)?

I'm also kinda assuming that the KB-resist WP skill is a must-have,seeing as I was spending a long time laying on my back. Also I'm pumping the WP skill damage resistant (may be called something else).

Any advice would be very appreciated,so,time to call me a noob and laugh at my lack of knowledge

Everyone needs accuracies in their attacks. Two at least, eventually.

Remember not to put more than 3 of the same type (damage, resistance, accuracy) of enhancement into the same power or you'll be wasting slots because of diminishing returns. Brutes can lay off Damage enhancements in the early game because Fury handles that just fine.

And yes, the KB (and other effects) protection toggle is a must have.

Not 100% sure what my role in teams is yet.Way I've been playing was to attack the mob/s the main tank attacks and no one has complained about it yet.

Is this my role or should I be doing something else?

I've been trying to read up on Brutes but there's not a lot posted about DB/WP here or on the US forums.I just discovered that for 12 levels I've been messing up by not taking the first combat skill....I chose the 2nd option which apparently isn't good for raising fury.

Other question is: should I raise brawl a couple and slot it? Oh,and on a side note....How do you turn autoattack on for a certain attack? I read a thread which suggested having Brawl on auttoattack but I can't find a control in options or right clicking the skill to activate autoattack.

Thanks for the advice everyone .....feel free to carry on enlightening me

Hold down ctrl and left click on brawl. This will auto it.

I wouldn't put slot in it though

They were appropriately appalled

They're now putting it all together.

Eight legs, one body, silk,
spider, brilliant!"

don't worry about taking the second attack over the first

while there is a lot of good sense behind taking that first attack (normally quicker so can be cycled through quicker to build more fury) but as you get more attacks this becomes less important as you can build a chain using your other attacks.

as to building fury don't worry all incoming attacks regardless of weather they hit or miss will build fury also the higher in rank the foe the more fury you'll build

and just in case your wondering being attacked builds fury far quicker than attacking so there's no real need to worry about gaps in your attack chain affecting your fury building

As to slotting normal brute slotting for attacks go's something like 2 end red, 2 acc, 2 damage but every one dose things slightly different and your power sets will affect your slotting to some degree

for example my own DB/WP will more than likely skip that second end red in his attacks as he'll be running quick recovery and stamina instead i may slot a extra acc to help with the carrying out of combos

As a brute you want to hit your target, two accuracy SO in all your attacks is pretty much a must, you get no fury if you miss. 2 ACC 3 DMG and then 1 RCHG or 1 ENDRED in the 6th slot depending.

[/ QUOTE ]False. Fury is generated by attack use (whether by or against the Brute), not ToHit rolls.

Well yeah. It's really my playstyle, cause since when i miss i abort the combo and wait until powers recharged and restart it. So i lose fury when i miss!
