Im currently leveling up my illusion/rad controller, and im very interested in pvp, so im just wondering how an illusion/rad controller perform in arena/1v1/zones. I imagine its good because of the rad debuffs and such.
Whats your opinion?

It isn't
The lack of immobs to spam makes it a second class pvp wise alone. Besides, rad is great for duels, but not really for team pvp or zones. Blind is very good tho, as it's bugged and hits thru any defense

It's not as good as it used to be. It's viable, but something like Fire/ will outperform it IMO.

well i think the other two were a little harsh lol

Its got very useful powers in; Superior invis, Deceive, ST and PA and blind. mixed with rad, it is definately viable.

I wouldn't say that Illusion isn't viable its just that other primaries all outperform it in duels ice/fire/mind/grav all are better choices imo for a /rad troller build.

Well, I tried my Ill/Rad in Warburg (only lvl30 she is), and I found that it is easy to survive with her. I couldn't beat anyone tho. The prob is, phantoms have way too long spawn animation time - as an attack they are weak because of this (and if you spawn them before, you'll get noticed too early, and noone will come close). So in practice you don't have much damage. You can easily annoy people, but that won't make them dead. Hunting a stalker down is a fun challenge tho...imagine two invisible dorks chasing each other.

But...if you have a scrapper/blaster friend you give invis, you 2 can be the gank squad easily be feared

Or not. Wiser ones may correct my words.
