It's unlikely this'll come along as anything other than an Issue of it's own.
Apparently it must be a lot of work, because the community has been asking for an upgrade to the unfinished system since it came out, but we haven't gotten it yet.
Expect it when they get around to fixing the Cathedral of Pain and Items of Power that were oh-so-good in City of Villains Beta.
In other words, don't hold your breath, because we won't be getting it for Christmas, or probably any time soon.

Positron said on w00t radio that bases are going to get looked at, with all the new staff it will be easier.
Deepending on how they see the future of bases, I think we'll either get little fixes and additions each Issue, or we'll get one Issue where the entire base system gets an overhaul.

basicly from what we have been tod it was basicly to many things to fix and creat and to few people to do it that stoped work on bases as they work to an extent and only efect a percentage of the game population where there was larger issus that effected the hole game needed looked at as well as keeping up to date with new issues
but like gg and Vahiki have said posi made it clea bases will be getting looked at with the new team more man power to share out the work load so with any luck all we need to do is wait

I do hope it gets an expansion.
Cause we did find out that the base cannot have "unlimited" decorative items. Our base was the base with the longest loadtime (no dev was anyway near it)
We now have to be very .. very careful with what we place inside the base.
We have gotten a lot of unused prestige now.. which at the moment stands there only to pay the upkeep.
We cannot upgrade the plot, due to above reasons.
And being blessed with a very good architect, we have simply begun making a "second floor" (coalition base) 
(we cannot do above, cause if we do.. we will loose the base.. as in just be given the entrance foyer... wohoo we crashed the base loader )
Getting more baseitems would surely help alot (and i mean it)

Has anyone created a base wish list before? might be an idea
I dont know about base wish list. But i know there are general ideas on the US forums.. And I think there is a suggestion post containg spesific items and to some degree on how they could be gained, somewhere in suggestions. But a general wishlist... *raises an eyebrow* I sure would love seeing one.
edit: Found one, Perhaps we should make an entire nice compiled list.

I think it's very important for there to be a separate room for each SG member, or somthing similar that they can put their own personal stamp on, to make them feel more involved in the base as a whole.

ok i've been a cox base fan for quite some time, its just one of the best features of coh its like an double helping of icing on my cox cake
anyway...to the point:

Any chance of an expansion on the capabilities of bases in cox? i mean like more than 3 levels? extra items? colours? themes?
