Damned thing won't turn blue!

Hey,

I have a workshop room kitted out to be my 'apartment' in a SG base and now I want to place my storage item in the room where I've left space.... but dastardly thing won't turn blue!

I've got less decor in the same size room as other members, so can't imagine it's that and have another base that i've edited over & over (to quite a size) but always managed work around any problems that arise.

I've tried shifting a load of decor right out to pop storage in and still it says 'Unreasonable place for item', in the whole room?!

It's a Workshop type room with allowance for 1 storage item.

Can anyone think of anything I haven't?

Or have you reached that plot size's maximum number of storage items?

If you have a anchor anywhere above the area you are trying to place the item it wont place there, you cant place items directly under the Anchors

Thanks, but it's none of these things.

I made another workshop elsewhere, totally bare and it let's me place it there.

If there are no more ideas, looks like I'm redecorating from scratch!

iirc, storage are destroyable by raids, and as such need a stupid amount of accessiblility by hostiles... even if you don't want to raid or be raided.

[/ QUOTE ]Perhaps you have already got another item which is classified as a storage item in the room already? I have wondered why I couldn't place some things and it turned out that I had already placed the maximum number of that type e.g. trying to place the invention salvage safe door when I already had a salvage rack in a one storage item 2x1 workshop. Use the "Current Items" to check the <info> on all the items in the room.
