Funny how when you are doing your job no one notices (not quite true been on teams which congratulated me for my healing) but you miss one buff or heal......

My pure empath moment earlier, got only 2 rad attack, rest is empath. Got in a team, trollers tankers and leader was blaster. Mostly fighting orange/red, HP bars happily filled.
Blaster: Dude, stop healing the scrapper, he is a regen
Me: I'm not healing him..
Blaster: Yes you do, i see green numbers at him
Me: He's regen, he got dullpain and selfheal, he's in my heal aura.
Blaster: No he doesnt..
-At that moment the team was laughing
Me: Instead, let the tanker grab alpha, so i can care less about a agro pulling blaster.
Blaster: I know what i'm doing
He runs to a group, fireball and SS about 100ft away, dies.
Tank grabs agro, we finish of the mobs, i go rez the guy.
Blaster: WHY U NOT HEALING ME?!?
Me: Oh just forget it..
-Quit team
Shortly after, i get a PM of the tank, Blaster kept saying in teamchat i was such a lousy healer, they are better off without.

Empaths are always in a lose/lose situation (when teaming). If the team is buffed properly and healed when needs be, you are seen as an xp leach (hence why I took NRG as a secondary, so that could blast when RA was in effect)...and if ppl die because they run off, or take too much aggro(they can't handle), then it's obviously the empaths fault.
Some Blasters think they have the defence skills of Tanks, and then have the gaul to wonder why they are faceplanting a lot. Most Blappers are aware of the dangers of melee dmg, but can either handle it, or know when to pull back. But mainly, Blasters generally die in Teams when they think they are untouchable (as the Empath is there, to be their personal heal buddy, not the team's???)

I can see what you mean about unexperienced blasters. By the ingame description of the blaster AT, lots of people just think "w00t, teh ubah dmg pwn0rz" or something like that and assume all defenders (healers for them) specially empaths are there just to heal them.
As much annoying as it is, I also find terribly annoying the attitude of some defenders/trollers (specially empaths, probably also unexperienced or some times too much "experienced") who believe the whole team actions are subjected to them instead of adapting to the situations, set aside the sucidal blapper charges, if the team goes in before you (impersonal you ofc) drop your auras/buffs, just dive for 5 secs in melee and drop them, if not everybody is in range, too bad, if they kill your anchor, anchor another foe and stop moaning.
Sometimes a bossy troller/defender is almost as annoying as a suicidal blapper, a careless scrapper or a perma-herding tank.

8 man team & i'm on my kin/rad, we're in the early teens.
I advise the team my set has 1 yes 1 targeted it could miss AoE heal & thats it. I explained the second defender a /storm had 1 mini heal, both of these 'heals' are not to be relied upon.
The 'indestructible' tank keeps wading in and getting more aggro than he can take and then come the hollers of...
Tank: " why you not healin'?
Me: Not an Empath, neither is the other defener

Me: There are NO Emps on the team.

I know that feeling, I have two dark defenders.
I'm pretty fair about defenders. I abuse them all equally when I demand buffs/debuffs/heals. 
I haven't read all the posts, so I don't know if this has been suggested yet.
But the easiset way to get rid of these people is to just ask for the star to invite a friend of yours with "A Hard to Spell Name - who is a really good tank/defender with heals"
Then, when you get the star. KICK THEM FROM THE TEAM.

You *may* in turn lose all of your team-mates, but if you use this on the right person, you may find moral support from the team, making you all stronger... and either way if feels marvellous to get your own back. Just don't use it on everyone who disagrees with you like some perfectionist Nazi empath because then you become that which you sought to destroy.

I also play Defender's and my 1st Alt was Empath Flush, i use the same Emp powers as you do buy the sounds (I'm 100% Emp) of it & use the same types you do, Eg. need cast AB, need better aim cast Fort Ect. SIMPLE
You Play as a defender you know how to defednt even if you do get every dept badge learning
It was just the team you were on bunck on Newbies who think they know it all most problbs buy the sound of it m8.
I have eben on teames like that on Defiant union, if i know i am doing my job properly (I also set up binds all the time so pll listen, if they miss me casting on them it's thier fault for not listening imo) and i get abuse i leave asap & see how they do withoght my help
