Is this build suitable for PvP? (MA/regen)

The title pretty much says it... But the big question is, tactics or intimidate? I know I wont be able to see all stalkers with just FA and tactics so should I take tactics at all? Also, if I take tactics should I rather get maneuvers and stick a LotG: +rech in it?

Why do you want fear?
You have stuns and -fly in the set.
You have no need for fear as Squishes that your hunting will better stunned than feared as they can run after being attacked once.

Fear is good for attacking and chasing Scrappers,Tankers and so on toons with Status protection. if you dont plan so much on attack or chasing these i would stick to the stuns in your set. and go for tatics

Intimidate Id only get vs specific arena opponents (vs. melee toons). For zone pvp etc generic pvp tactics is better, expecially along with focused acc.

Dropping mog for mainly zone pvp? Only if you are fighting big teams imo. Fear is more useful now for zones than tactics too

Mh, getting different information everywhere! Some people promote tactics and others promote fear... Tbh, I dont think I will actually need fear that much if I replace MoG with cobra. Next thing is, what shall I move to 47 to get cobra available earlier?

Hey D, Was chattin to u in RV, u have a solid looking build, Imo Every MA Should have Cobra, :P and get it early, great for zone pvp, as for your question on tactics or fear.... id go fear :P much more useful all round... or :P i noticed you have 2 travel powers, maybe just take one? then u can have both fear and tactics.. just a hunch, i seem to do oki with just ss.

you make the final decision. You asked on a forum and you will get a multitude of answers from many different points of view.

The way im thinking is why take fear when you have stuns... Stuns drop toggles fear dont. as i said b4 Fear is only usefull for hindering scrappers/tanks and so on. It will stop people from running only till they are attacked or pop a bf! but as always the choice is yours!

I had similar choice to make with this power on my stalker. how i made my decision was decided by which PvP Zone i spend most of the time in. I spend more time in warburg.
So i made it so i had Cobra before lvl 40.

Problem is that I havent PvPed much and dont know which pvp zone will be the best for me... I reckon it'll either be RV or Sirens. Not that fussed about free-for-all fights.

Deff replace MoG, its a false security...wich in the end will get ya killed if debuffed.
Got a lvl 50 DM/regen with fear+tactics 6 slotted, lets just say peeps fear me and i spot em Stalkers pretty good, fear in pvp (imho) ROCKS

To be honest I would swap maneuvers(swap it to assault) and tactiss for combat jumping + superjump for sirens call levels. You will be absolutely crippled in sirens call without a vertical travel power. You would need external help for enough perception regardless, a single tactics wouldnt do the trick.

The main focus of /regen will be in dull pain, reconstruction and instant healing along with increasing your base regen. Optimize their recharge, +HP and heal with set bonuses. MOG you could even skip if you want to go for a full PVP build, as its definitely the weakest of all last-tier powers, even more so in PVP. In zone pvp you might have little use for it (to go thru a /FF masterminds force bubble for example)

Cobra strike I'd say is nice to have but by no means a necessity since martial art attacks (especially eagles claw) already have very nice disorient in them, enough to trouble non-melee toons even without cobra strike.

Well yes, for the maneuvers part I was told it's much more useful than assault. Mainly because you can put a LotG: +rechg in it.

I guess you're right about the tactics / SJ part and I'll swap them around.

The thing about the fear / tactics / cobra is that I can only fit a combo of 2 of those. To fit all of those would mean [1] no stamina [2] only one travel power.
And as it is, my primary doesnt have fear unlike DM.
Anyways, I want cobra for the stun because the animation is much much faster than eagle's.

Well ok if you use it for the LOTG recharge then its a different matter. Although you could spare an extra slot in combat jumping and slot it there. (at least it used to take def enhancements, not sure if it was recently changed.)

As for fear, you dont really need it. Stuns, yes they are nice but cobra strike does nil damage, so eagles claw is better imo. Regen could go without stamina a bit although I have it myself and am very happy about the state of my endurance with both quick recovery and stmaina.

My personal opinion: 2nd travel power and stamina in the build is much more versatile and reliable (and most importantly: more fun to play). If you havent played your character to those levels yet, I suggest you go with two travel powers, and respec in special stuff like intimidate/tactics/cobra strike if you think you need them.

Which makes sense. Still with the proper fear duration slotted, being attacked won't break fear.
The way I'm thinking is that stun breaks toggles, which is good, but it can only be applied in melee distance, and besides it won't affect mez resistant toons. Fear is much less resisted and can be applied from range, which will stop runners and burn break frees quickly, which is double gain considering stuns.
About Leadership, if I were to pik them I'd go for maneuvres and assault. Maneuvres for the LotG +rech and assault for the extra dmg. Tactics is useless on a FA ma scrapper now imo

Fear was changed i seem to remember where regardless of fear strength once your attacked your opponent has 1 attack before they become feared again... Or they can run.
