Don't know if my sg will back me up, but I would love to get pounded on for an evening.

Oh yeah, I can bet CoW will be there, at least in part, in some form
(I'll be there, jumping sides to keep things balanced)

I'll be there; lag permiting of course
2 peanuts walked into a...gah...forget it, I'm in
lonize(Bounty Hunters Guild) - ill/rad
Kiyomori(Violators) - kat/da
That was a blast, managed to get play my Stormie and my Mastermind, both which are unusual pvp chars for me, and both who were a blast to play
Suffcient to say, Heroes won every battle except warburg, where the Villains killed more Villains than Heroes managed to, which means I guess that Villains both lost and won.
(delusions are fun - villains pretty much pwnd every zone by the end, but in between the beginning and end, each zone was fun and balanced at times )

Enjoyed that, despite the lag.
I had a lot of fun and wasn't even playing. My grilfriend was playing Yoko Masters and had a blast in her first ever PvP play. Like Alvan said it had some great balanced moments, but there were times the MM's were too overpowering I must say. Like in RV when suddenly it was down to 7 heroes to hold the zone, when it didn't even start yet. Villains left way too early, cause a lot of people were arriving at the correct time. The people who started it all were gone, like pistol and his gang. Well anyway great event, looking forward to something similar.
Say what? I only managed to make it for the latter half of the SC battle, but it seemed to me Villains were winning that stretch by long way.
This was lots of fun, even with the awful lag. Thanks for organising it Pious!
Yeah was fun tho lag in Bloody Bay was utterly awfull and not enjoyable at all.
Warburg was wierd and glad we skipped it cos it wasn't really doable
Glad everyone enjoyed it. I must say, despite the inevitable lag, it's been the best PvP moments ever. Thank you all who participated, I now have lots of demorecords to fraps into video files, but will be posting screenshots first.
In all fairness, there were lots of times were the fight was well balanced and thats what made it most fun. What Alvan was trying to say however (read his bracketed comment) is that villains won the event. Bloody Bay was a very close call because the heroes pushed us way back INTO our own base, but thanks to E.V.I.L arriving in the nick of time, we managed to push them back and pretty much rolled over them thereon.
Sirens Call started badly for us villains, but a smack or two later, we started using our strengths in numbers, using an umbrella tactic with the the stacked force fields, high defences and spammed heals. We quickly took the zone and it stayed that way for over an hour.
Warburg was indeed very weird, what toon was you playing Majik? Kinda funny in retrospect really. The minute us villains stepped into Warburg, we start fighting each other... victory has to go to the heroes for this one because one, they didn't fight each other and two, they took out two teams of the Gang with repetitive max-buffed nukes, very clever.
Recluse' Victory began at 9pm, sorry. Two reasons. One, our pets wouldn't stop fighting among each other, LOL! And two, there were villains (stalkers especially) bent on fighting other villains INSTEAD of the heroes... so an hour in, we decided to skip Warburg and move to RV. By this time I was really hungry and tired so I kind of wasn't paying attention to the RV battles. In fact, I went afk to make dinner and when I got back my pets were still fighting. LOL
Victory goes to the Villains! 3 : 1 Again, thanks for the awesome fun and hope this kind of event happens again. The highlight of this evening: getting acquainted with the inner warrior in mom.

"Thankyou so much, That was a smashing little fight!",
<tucks business card into villain corpses top pocket>
.... "and don't forget to tell all your friends Mother knocked seven shades of %&$! out of you!"
, Actually surprised I lasted as long as I did seeing as though I only had (In the great battles that were Bloody Bay and Sirens) Mental blast, Air Superiority and signature move 'Vet Axe up the backside' at my disposal.
I loved the tactics that were on display and bit the dust more often than not trying things - but thoughly enjoyed myself all the same.
Thank you Pious for organising it, Great seeing so many faces there, Union Veterans, recognised Forumites and newcomers alike, and welldone to all that struggled through the lag to make it a memorable night.
I shall put the scorched cape, scratched Gauntlets and tattered Spandex in a display case in my SG base with a little brass plaque that will read simply '22/07/07', and I'm sure it will bring a smile to my face everytime I pass it.

I thought the problem in warburg was that the hero teams weren't fighting each other. It is, after all, a free for all zone.
Found RV quite enjoyable at the end too - glad we made it in there early 'cos no way I'd have stayed up after 10 on a Sunday night. Do love playing my level 50s at level 50. Also numbers were down to the point you could target the MM your teammate was on with less than 5 minutes of hitting tab.
Edited to add: Thanks for organising that.
I guess the biggest problem was that there just weren't enough heroes. Every time the numbers were checked it was something like "15 heroes, 29 villains" or something equally distressing. Also I don't recall seeing members of certain bigger super groups at all on the heroside, which was a total bummer. Not that I have any right to call blame, College of War had only like two (perhaps 3 at some point) people participating..
But being the underdog is the way I like my PvP, so this was 90% of the time a very enjoyable evening. Thank you Pious for organizing it.

I dunno about the rest of the zones but in WB we had a team of 8 people and we simply killed everyone From the first villains that arrived in WB (we waited them at the entrance to kindly say hi) to the double nukes on the Gang kindly provided by Globe and me since jesus thats was a lot of MM's there.
Was a great event all and all and hope we do it again in a monthly basis. This is the reason i have decided to move on Union along with all my PvP toons.
I got the whole WB action on demorecord and will come up with a video as soon as possible.
I have to say it was a very nice surprise to see even roleplayers in there enjoying it and the whole atmosphere was friendly despite the carnage going on due to the FFA.
I am pretty sure we could come up with some more organised event in a monthly basis if we get some more interest in this and keep up the relaxed chilled atmosphere and good feeling of the zone like it was last night.
Thanks to all villains and all heroes that attended made the even so much fun
What a laugh that was. I had a great time from the word go. Bloody Bay and Sirens seemed to be the most fun with some real epic battles raging. I missed the start of Warburg as I had to grab something to eat and by the time I joined there people were already talking about moving to RV.
Great fun and thanks to Pious for organising.
Can you get a more villainous feeling than landing a KO Blow on Mothers Love?
Yeah was very enjoyable. Surprised I enjoyed BB so much - was a bit late getting my troops together for that but when we got there we kicked [censored] . Sirens call was good fun as well as seemed a lot more balanced. I think towards the end they started to lose a few heroes which allowed for the villains to push forward after soughting out our communication channels. After that I lost most our team so popped to Warburg on my own and was dead in seconds. Was really looking forward to warburg but unfortunatly most our pvp regulars had retired off. I had to go as well to see Transformers but glad the carnage carried on. Thanks again Pious for organising it - was shocked too not to see some of the well known supergroups not making much of an appearance.

Curse my alt-isis! Must get a decent PvP toon lvld to join in this obvious fun!!!
well was in warb for 30mins, and hero teams not fighting each other?
I was in the team with tg, and we squished the other hero team, it just took so long for the vill teams to setup, by the time they would get back to the beach between each death that well when we'd jump on you send you back to the hosp then crack on with the other hero team.
good fun, bb was far to laggy though,
This didnt seem to take much setting up individually(or maybe im just unaware of what preperation it required), just a date announced that people were aware of, so i dont see why this kinda thing couldnt be done more often.
After last nights lag-fest which was huge groups of heroes chasing the rikti attacks, I'm not sure I'd enjoy PvPing on this scale anyway. I was down to about 2 fps whenever the Rikti war party arrived...
I have 2 gig of ram! I like it looking lovely!
mmm, time to start saving those large inspirations
