Take Body Mastery and love it.
Focused Accuracy is great, and so is Conserve Power. Laser Beam Eyes can be handy as you have no ranged attacks.

I have energy torrent on Unthing rather than Laser Beam Eyes. It is a lovely power, despite the knockback.

I took energy torrent over LBE on Flitz, mainly for concept reasons but also because it's a cone (nice for upsetting big groups). I find it does more knockdown than back on even level and higher mobs, so the tank doesn't get too annoyed

I'm gonna take weapon mastery when my scrapper goes to 41. I know it's the weakest of epics, but concept-wise is just wonderful for my martial artist.
It said in the description that Energy Torrent did minor damage, so I was thinking of skipping it myself - is it really just good for the knockdown, or does the damage add up?

It does nearly identical damage to Spine's "Throw Spines", just with a longer recharge and a slightly more narrow arc. It's also mostly Energy Damage rather than Smashing.
I regularly use it as part of my Spines/Dark's attack chain, but my Katana/Regen used it more for the Knockdown due to the redraw issue.

Energy torrent does 'decent' damage.

Are they worth it for a kat/regen Scrapper or should I just take more form the power pools
