Mind Control and PvP
Dont know about rad but from playing a mind dom all the way to 50 I can say that pretty much all the powers are great. About the only dodgy ones are the sleeps but even those can be useful, like when your opponent slips into a bunch of NPC's to escape you. Fear and mass confusion are particularly fun and you can be an asset to your team (and an [censored] to your enemy) just spamming these powers. I wouldnt so much be afraid of any thermal corruptors you come up against, but with the changes to thaw you might find your controls and slows next to useless against other villains. That would pretty much leave you with tk and levitate in those situations (plus your rad powers that I dont know about).

Excellent. The word "rad" usually means a great 1v1 pvp character no matter what.
(powers to take for sure:
radiation infection(slot for 3 toHit debuff and def debuff),
enervating field(slot for 3 endred),
lingering radiation (slot for accuracy and recharge),
accelerate metabolism (slot for recharge and endmod)
radiant aura (slot for selfheal))
Mind has great single target mezzes.
You can also use telekinesis for its great repel, although you dont need to with rad. To prevent opponent coming after you or pin him in a corner (only few powersets in game can resist repel). Telekinesis needs to be slotted heavily for endred though should you take it.
Basically Id consider taking all single target powers + terrify for my troller, but usually theres no room. Dominate is a great hold to spam. Mesmerize can hit through for instance bubblers dispersion field. Confuse can be great fun in pvp zometimes (confuse a traps MM so he is blown up by his own trip mine etc hehe)
Usually people have to take a lot of pool powers for pvp builds, it depends about travel powers as well.
About fire mastery I dont know much. Id propably take primal forces myself.
Mind/Rad is one of the best dueling controllers possible. Psionic damage, mezzes which arent widely resisted (fear, repel),& debuffs. If you want to PvP seriously take primal (power boosted mezzes & debuffs), ice (defence stacks nicely with rad infection & hibernate is great panic button), or psionic mastery. Psi is nice as you get a good AoE attack and mez protection which can be made perma with IO bonus' if thats your thing

Wow great replies.
Let me clear some point for you. I don't want to PvP, at least with Psy-knight. As i read some of post about PvP i know it requires many other tools to be succesfull. I will make another toon for PvP in the future maybe.
Okay for making your job easy i can ask some questions in my mind.
1- Confuse: How it works in PvP. How you can confuse a Player or MMs pets if you can confuse a player at all. Does it normal confusion or Boss state (double application)
2- Lets say i include stealth on my build, after i debuffed an enemy can i hide or she/he can see me through stealth.
3- As i understand Bloody Bay heroes vs. villians area but Warburg is all vs all. So doing contact missions can put me in danger of facing others, right?
For protection i am mostly depend on my set bonuses. I can say that sets make a great difference on a hero.
As we talk about controllers, which set of controllers are defenders most suitable for PvP.

A confused player in PvP has their targeting reticule randomly redirected every time they attack, I believe.
Some powers may grant protection from Confusion, but by default a player can be Confused with a single application of a Confuse power.
DCUO and CO will never see my money. The Citygame will keep seeing my money for as long as I keep enjoying it

Confuse is easily countered by zooming in so you are the only thing on screen.

Which isnt really an ideal way to play. I say confuse is still a useful power.

Confuse protection depends on the opponent characters mez protection, buffs on him and break frees. As a base, the protection is 0. Even some melee characters get no protection against confuse, for instance invul tankers.
Confusing an enemy will make his targeting reticule shift targets randomly to other nearby targets (including his/her teammates). In a duel this doesnt do much anything since theres only one target, you. Confusing masterminds pets is possible, which will make them attack randomly on their teammates and their owner I believe. Mass confuse is masterminds worst nightmare . While confusing placable pets like trip mine, tar patch etc is not directly possible, you can confuse the enemy who laid them down so they consider him as an enemy leading to sometimes hilarious situations (for instance the devices blaster in sirens who was piling up tripmines for telemining and was confused by my dominator..oops!)

2- Lets say i include stealth on my build, after i debuffed an enemy can i hide or she/he can see me through stealth.
[/ QUOTE ]
There is a slight period (10 seconds iirc) after you have just attacked an enemy, during which you cannot hide. This is same for all characters. You have to stop attacking for the 10 secs to actually stealth. This suppression doesnt switch off your stealth-toggles, it will just neutralize the hide effect.
Stealth (the power) is not very strong and a lot of pvpers are including +perception in their builds these days against stalkers. Stealth alone doesnt carry very far, as even people who have no perception at all will be able to see you at relatively close distance.
Fron a theory aspect, a stealth power will reduce opponents base perception distance. +Perception powers increase this distance. Then its just base-stealth+percep and see whether the resulting perception distance is 0 (you are completely invisible standing right next to them) or something else (opponents will be able to see you within that distance).

Obviously you will be in danger of facing hostile opponents in any of the PVP zones. Warburg is however the only free-for-all zone, where heroes that arent in your team also count as enemies. Orange name = enemy (or a dead character) blue name = ally. . Note: there is a safe zone around the hero base in warburg where attacking is not possible. Other zones only have the drones to protect the bases. Let it be said that majority of people in pvp zones other than sirens call seem to concentrate on pve aspects and arent really after you.

I dont quite understand this, do you mean which of the controller secondaries is best suited for PVP? Well in that case: Radiation Force field and storm are also good especially in pvp zones.
Your primary protection will always be your movement, and that you keep yourself un-mezzed (keeping break frees ready). If you are attacked, run, heal, and turn the fight on your enemy.
Hammerfall's PVP knowledge fills me with terror. Usually because I remember his words as I slowly explore the PVP zones, hoping not to meet anyone.

Ditto. I just KNOW the feeling of confidence I have with my regen ma scrapper is FALSE confidence! And I'm really a big scaredy cat!
Heh i am kinda scared too. But i have really good answers.
@Hammerfall. Sorry for my bad english i was trying to say is; as i usually play defenders and controllers, i just wanted to know which Controllers and Defenders suits better for a PvP build. So in future when i want to make a PvP hero i can work on them. So i've got my answer: Rad, Storm and FF is good for PvP (FF good for everything i knew that )
mind/rad/power (or primal, the epic with powerboost) is way awesome for duels. Psi damage, TK, all the mezzes you could want ever and stupid amounts of debuffs make it a nasty set to fight against.

You forgot uninterruptible selfheal too (which healing amount can even be doubled under power boost effect)
As i entered slowly to PvP zones, i wanted to know more about Mind Controllers and PvP.
Can you hard-core PvPers give me some insight about my sets. Psy-knight is a Mind/Rad controller for now and will get his epic Fire Pool hopefully in double XP weekend.
What's my cons and pros of the Mind, Rad and Fire Mastery? And most importantly which Villian ATs i should stay away. Not that i will open a hunting season on Villians but you know a clever man must know when to attack when to run.
Thanks for your advices in advance.
