A bit annoying really, was looking forward to bantam, but I guess not many people signed up officially. Guess that's the issue with running things like sign ups on another forum. :\
Generally forum sign ups are a bad idea for such events.An in game sign up system would be great over the pvp terminals with pvp channel announcments about tournaments about to start.Hey it could be the new trend holding lvl 5 pvp events instead of cossie contests.

I think the biggest problem was obviously not many people knew about it. If they really wanted to get some numbers for it then perhaps should have had a sign up on the official forums (relevant sections e.g. union, defiant) and have an ingame annoucement so everyone would get to hear of such an event. I wouldn't have thought that be too much of a problem being with that as NcSoft were going to donate some prizes.

Hey all,
first I want to say sorry sorry sorry for the teams which registered in time. (75% were from Zukunft)
We needed a registration at our website because we developed some scripts, which had made the event as easy as possible.
(If you know our eventmanager, you know what I mean)
There was some kind of realtime match reports, standings, automatically blocked sidewings, match demo database et cetera...
The teams don't have to wait for any official administration person to get all things updated.
We already put a lot of time in the development of these scripts - so this decision was bad for us too.
But what I don't understand is that the union and defiant players most talked about C4, but were the servers with the lowest count of registrations :/
Although we changed the rules for them/you.
Unfortunately all happend during a big CC round-change, so that the communication with NC was very difficult at this time.
I think we just hadn't enough luck this time...

I think people saw the rules and thought 'not interested' but then didn't find out they had changed. I'd largely forgotten there was going to be a competition until my team leader reminded me. I hadn't seen the dates for the sign up and the start of C4 which were posted back in April. So more information on these forums would have been helpful and raised more interest. No need to wait for Bridger and Co as you could have posted it.

This all sounds nice but no one on the English forums uses your website forums much (that I know of) and would have to go out of their way to sign up. So I'm not that surprised that 75% of the teams were from Zukunft as they are the players that probably use the forums and didn't need to do anything apart from register teams. Also as I said above people saw the rules, weren't interested and didn't bother signing up.
Edit: The only C4 thread about C4 on these forums, apart from the initial announcement by Bridger was started by a Union player. Maybe Defiant and Union are just used to Sign Up, Discussion and Looking for Team threads for PvP competitions.
Keep doing it, set the sign-up date back (now is bad for a lot of younger UKers since it's exam season) and just YELL about it all the time on the boards.
If you need people to help shouting about it, I can gladly do that. The main problem was the lack of communication and information on the official boards, and it's not like that can't be easily fixed.
