Phoenix Killers - is salavage theft common now

unfortunitly this is becoming more common on union leaders we have heard about between 5-8 times this has happened in the past few month, tis has also been highlighted here on the forums in the past weeks or so as well with alot of people voicing concern as well as a few more saying its happened to them.
at the moment the official rule is you gave them permission to access to the torage so its your fault be more careful next time. however as a result of the thread in the past week bridger has asked that you send a petition with the culprits toon names and a brief of what they stole so that this can be tracked by suport becuase doing it once there isnt much they can do but doing it repetedly to a number of groups can count as greifing but they need to know whos doing it first.
in the mean time all i can sugest is you worn your coalitions whos doing this and do your best to bettr control what ranks have access, unfortunitly thats all we can do untill the powers that be accept this is a real problem and give us better controls over storage

Thanks for the information Bru. I was aware that untlimately its sg's fault for giving permissions I just find it annoying.
Just wish you could set different levels for taking enhancements, salvage & inspirations but from what I have read this would be a huge piece of work.
Altitus doesnt have a cure just more alts
I think it is becoming a lot more common especially with people knowing that nothing can be done about it. I think I will be reviewing how our supergroup goes about it, its just a shame that a few bad eggs ruin it for everyone. Fortunatly so far not experienced this theft (totally don't agree with others that say its fair game).
Any idea what they are going to do with the salvage?

They think they can use it for inventions, which they cant.
So when they realise there noobish mistake is there any chance of getting it back off them. I have had people take 1 of everything in preparation of I9 but explained to them that it won't do them any good. Slightly different from them taking everything.
Were the people that took the salvage trusted as would have thought after the first theft you would be a bit more cautious. Hopefully things will work themselves out though.

Hi there
I am very sad that this seems to be getting more common and i am sure will end up spoiling a big benefit for honest sg members as the permissions will be increasingly taken away for them to gain access to storage which means they will not be able to get insps and enhancements either.
We have not so far had any instances of this in the Dirty Hand Prints - however what we have done is to get the leaders to hold any 'valuable' items of salvage so that if it does happen the effects will not be as painful.
This way we can hold off taking away the privalage of access to base storage from loyal members and the lower toons who probably need the inps and enhancements more.

if the people doing the stealing have dun what a fe of us have they have been mesing about on test and found out you can make a fortune seling of box standard base slvage and will be stealing it for that reason they know the groups are gona need the salvage so figure nicl it now sell it later. persoanly because of the amount in an sg this efects i think this should be punished by nothing less then a 72hour ban same as the people pulling gms into portal corps but because of the way the powers that be view this as a non issue doubt it will every happen
as soon as it becaome more common we dun the same as von our leaders took as much of our components stash and rare salvage as possible with most of it on monster since i use him for base building

The Bachiatari Han Ryu has also suffered the wraith of the salvage thefts first occasion was a few months ago all our enhs were taken then a couple weeks later for salvage and then again loosing half of our total slavage in 1 sitting (971 items), i asked every memebr of my sg (that was online at the time) to send a fully detailed petition of what had gone missing and to name the char that took it all (cant say here for fear of getting my wrist slapped but they now who they are).
I agree with the statment above about being able to set dif permissions for each type of storage this way all sg memebrs can still get access to insps and enhs but the base salvage racks can be set to only be accessable by sg leaders or base builders.
Bru said it best a 72hr ban the first time as a warning and then a complete account cancellation for a reapeat offence. I would gladly see the salvage i had stolen disappear if i was safe in the knowledge that whoever had taken it had had their account cancelled, i just dont see why the game that has had such a great players base for the most part should have to suffer because of these ppl that want everything now and dont want to have to work for it, they seem to think it is ok to just let the rest of us work hard for it and then take it as their own *gestures spitting on floor in disgust* and this is especially true for the new sg's that are starting and getting robbed,1 of my mates disbanded his sg and said he will never make it again because he was cleaned out in the first month of starting it, find em flog em and hang em let them swing from the gallows so that they may be named and shamed, it only seems fair that we should know who not to let join our sg's POWER TO THE PEOPLE.

it all sounds nice saying it is city of villians and al that but thats jsut a cop out considering its happening across the entire game to both sides of the fence and in all servers both here and the US

While I took a few days break from the game someone took 1500+ items of salvage from my sg. The 2 culprits are listed and I wont get into flaming them on the forums.
But is this something other sg's are experiencing too?
I have had alts in this sg for 16 months and been one of the leaders for 15 months (i would admit i am not a good sg leader though) and this is the second time in 2 months someone has emptied our salvage.
