So having recently go my Ice / Cold corruptor to 28 i thought it was about time to try another Alt. This timw i was going down the Dominator route.

So far all i have is a primary power, Mind Control. I choose this power because of all the neat tricks it can bring to a fight. Mass Confusion looks like the Muts Nuts (so too speak) there was just one question i have with this power. If i build up domination, then hit "Power Boost" (if i should have either energy or ice for a secondary) and then hit mass confusion on a mob, who will get confused out of the minions, luits, bosses, elite bosses. Is it evan possible to hold an EB? or a hero on LRSF for that matter?

So now i have the choice of secondarys. I think it will either be ice or energy for the power boost. Im not sure which of the two to have. Does anyone have any experiance with either of the two or which one would go well with Mind?

Thanks in advance!!

Domination + Power Boost + Mass Confusion will confuse Bosses in one application, but not Elite Bosses.

Power Boost doubles the duration of mezzing powers, not the magnitude. Domination is the only power in the game that doubles the magnitude of these powers.

Well, I can´t comment on Power Boost as my lvl 50 dominator is mind/psi, but Mass Confusion is a great skill that can turn a desperate situation into a winning battle by confusing anything but bosses without Domination or anything including bosses with Domination running.
Against EBs and AVs Power Boost will hardly make a big difference due to it´s short duration. Anyway, with stacked single-target Confuse as non-aggro fight-opener you will be able to keep most EBs confused until they are dead (and thus be able to kill them without losing a single hp) and even confuse AVs when the purple triangles are down (so they will clear the surrounding spawn for you). For anything bigger than that you would need at least one additional dominator anyway.

If it has
eyes, you can blind it, if it has blood, you can make it bleed, if it has a mouth, you can make it scream.

So if i am able to stack and build up the magnitudes from powers its possible for me to confuse/hold EB's and AV's?

I had the ultimate vision of jumping on the LRSF last mission and confusing them all lol.

Are there any numbers on the magnitudes of Mind/ and what can and cant be stacked?

It should be possible, given enough stackings of confuse effects.

Power Boost will help this indirectly because the added duration means you can stack more Confusions (which has a tiny recharge anyway) into the duration of a single Mass Confusion.

Even then, you can expect to confuse a single AV/Hero, if they don't have their purple triangles up of course.

Your best bet is teaming with other confusion-using dominators (Mind or Plant), as this really ups the chances of pulling this off and makes things a lot of fun in general play.

Finally, bear in mind that Manticore has his own version of the Leadership pool powers, so the entire Freedom Phalanx have confusion protection until you take him down.

Most fun I had with confusion:
I was in the Tarikoss SF (as mind/psi dominator) with a couple of friends and me and a friend were jokingly bragging about our superiour skills via TS when the rest of the team decided that we should demonstrate our "pro gamer skills" by duoing Infernal in the last mission.
We agreed because we thought this could be hilarious. So, this is what happened: Two toons, one mind/psi dominator and one dark/dark corruptor faced off against the mighty Infernal while the rest of the team stood back to watch our certain defeat. Little did they (and we for that matter) know that Infernal would not have purple triangles on that level. This resulted in an extraordinary show of cruelty when we slowly (and I mean slowly) whittled away Infernal´s health while he was just standing there wondering why his "friends" wanted to hurt him.
He fell just as we managed to stop laughing for a moment.

As far as I'm aware this isn't possible. If I remeber correctly the AVs (Heros) in the RSF can be confused but even if they are confused successfully they will not attack each other and just stand there till the confusion ends. I could be wrong (as I haven't got a toon high enough level to test it), but I seem to remember that change happening shortly after the RSF was released.

You remember correctly, the FP will not attack each other if confused.

Actually, they will once they're released from passive mode -- that is when Statesman shouts "This is for Liberty!" and the carnage begins.

Playing a Plant/Thorn Dominator I find Seeds of Confusion to be kinda neat since it'll make stuff like this happen in the short window of time when the purple triangles are down:

04-05-2007 02:39:40 Synapse has defeated Sister Psyche
04-05-2007 02:39:47 Positron has defeated Synapse

04-06-2007 01:58:49 Positron has defeated Sister Psyche

It also works great against the Vindicators.

Well, that really depends on how debuffed they are, but they do tend to do quite a lot of damage.

During last night's second run it only took us 53 seconds to defeat the entire Freedom Phalanx, with six of them dropping while the triangles were down, and with Positron credited for defeating Citadel.

Unfortunately it's a bit hard to see what's going on mez-wise through the fireworks, but I've kinda noticed that if I get the chance to cast Seeds of Confusion on them, things suddenly starts to go a lot smoother.
