I find it really difficult to get a good DM/Regen build for PvP, imo it's too PvE orientated for that malarky. I've tried a few builds on mine but none really shine. I personally use TP fore though, and then ToF them, but it usually wears off before I can kill them.

TP Foe -> ToF -> Smite -> Ariel Superiority -> Smite -> Tof..... etc. Works on Mobs anyway. 
What slotting for TP Foe?

But yeah any pet user is easy prey for DM/?? I was fighting a Ill/?? in Warburg who cunningly summoned his pets when I was low on END, I got all my END back and some nice to-hit.
Since my sojourn in WoW I have begun to enjoy PvP more, I have a respec left on Lost Ninja so I'm looking for a good PvP build that will still be okay in PvE.
Currently the build is a mess, and I tend to run out of end certainly in RV.
Ideally I want a good all rounder useful in Sirens Call and upwards.
Any ideas?
