Rooms can't overlap or even touch, would they have when you were putting them in?

i did try living a 1 suare gap as that what mostly seems to be needed to make it work just seemed not to want to come off the oversight room.

you need to make sure nothing is blocking the door in anyway as well as there being enuff room on the plot for the new room to fit before it wil place
there is alot of small UI problems like that with the base system but you do get used to them after some time messing about with it

And it seems hell bend on only wanting the doorways in fixed places, so... even though it would fit perfectly if the doorway was the square beside it, it won't allow you to place it because of the doorway not being able to place in the 'must' location... I've had to delete a teleporter to fit a room in, move the doorway and construct a new teleporter to put back in its original position...
also, a jacccuzi has been done... make shiftly... with shelves, the low ones... or perhaps benches put in a circle.

What for, all you need is a Rad or Thermal blaster/corrupter in the SG and you're set! 
Why can i only link some rooms together?
for instance i could'nt put a med bay coming off my oversight room but could put it next to secret enterance which then meant i had to move my workshop to come off the med bay.
