Well from what you've said/want for your stalker, i would say EA is better. All the toggles are defense and has End Drain power.
SR is also good because of +percep which helps for stealthed heroes/enemies, and is also all defense but uses alot of end.
I would say EA best for you
Also i recommend getting aid self because EA has no self heal and Super Speed for hasten and fast getaways.

Either EA or SR

It depends on what your planning to do with your stalker really I personaly love SR but in the end the choice is your own.

Are you planning on PvP'in or PvE with your toon would also be considered into your choice selection. I beleave its all in the eye of the beholded and if your not sure make 1 of each and lvl them. That should give u and idea which you like.
There is to much to consider to tell a player which is better cos I personaly dont know what your play style is so I dont want to mis-lead you in saying SR is the best (just an example) to many arguements start over somthing that simple.

Running out of end is something we all stalkers suffer pre stamina but once you have it your sorted

Good luck with your stalker.

If you dont lan to PvP and dont wanna run out of end, get EA.

I tried both, but I chose SR because the set has Quickness, debuff resistance and + perception. But I had a lt of fun with my EA stalker before I deleted it.

Energy Aura can be great in pvp, mainly due to the auto hit end drain hehe, it's funny to see the enemy wondering why their toggles are droppin the same way as their end, then its TF/ET/Placate/AS, all over

OK, try it on RV. Most PvP Heroes will see you, those spines scrappers will kill you fast and you dont have time to use the end drain if you can die in 2 hits.

The end drain is great for PvE Stalkers. A good PvP Stalker doesnt run out of end.

I think you missed the point of using the end drain here mate,, in a stand up fight, which you can do with an EA, as it has a nice God Mode, as does the EA Brute, you don't generally need to use End Drain to top up your end, in PvE it is nice if you want to just keep moving on and on in either AT, as both AT's with EM/EA after a certain level can just run and run, both feel quite similar really, but in PvP I have discovered, especially with Star Furie, you Know that 50 EM/EA brute you have done the LRSF with a few times when you weren't dc'in all the time, that Energy Drain actually becomes an OFFENSIVE Weapon to be used on unsuspecting opponents, wipes about 20 end off then each time it's used when its slotted, and can completley bugger up a /SS tank totally, hehe, done that once or twice, and a lot of scrappers in general, as only Stone/ tanks and /Dark Scrappers have any real end drain res, and you just have to wait for the right point, u know the one, both fired of hasten at the begininng, bot using loadsa end fighting, your hasten starts to wink, and u know, HUSSAR, he's loosing 15 points of end here, lets make it more , then watch the toggles drop, and away you go.

Apart from that, do you honestly think a Stalker who's PvP'in in RV is expecting NOT to be seen really, and with EM, as I said You open up with TF (Total Focus), an ET (Energy Transfer), Placate(Especially if you've manged to disorient them by now) And Assassins Strike.

And if you have problems with spines scrappers thats your fault anyway.

Actually, If I have problems with spines scrappers thats the sets fault. It offers NO toxic defense.

Yes, I expect not being seen in RV if I run Hide+Invisibility. Few Heroes will be able to see me in close range.

Yes, I know how end drain works. As you said, I've done the LRSF with you with my /ELEC Brute. In RV, I use the same tactics you described about toggle dropping. And I can do that because I have lots of Health and a solid damage resistance, and thats without mentioning my 2 Accolades that grant me +15% Health.

All I'm saying mate is that EA Stalkers are slightly worse than the other sets when it comes to PvP and defense. Well, I dunno about DA. You are a EA Brute, so you have more hit points and can stand longer, and that allows you to use end drain as an offensive weapon. Besides, you dont have Hide and cant stack stealth powers

You cant fight the way you are used to with a EA Stalker. It's like a /DA Brute trying to teach how a /DA Stalker should play or PvP. The ATs are totally different.

Everything you said works for Brute.

Each player has a different play-style. I tried an EA once and had a good time (even took Repel lol), but after trying SR, I deleted the former. And I still hear or read things like "if you took SR, why not Nin! It's uber blah blah" :P

But you can't attack whilst invis mate, and the Def on a EA is above 30% with CJ, so not to shabby, and EA can boost its hitpoints and def without people realising you have because you have hide, thus giving you the extra hitpoint you need in thos "Scrappin" Situations, as well as 45% def boost, you just have to remember to do what all sef respecting stalkers do when th icon starts flashin and RUN LIKE HELL, you just have an extra 3 mins before the run bit hehe. And spines attacks all have a lethal element so def should work against it to defend against its initial attacks, and I suppose the only way to defend against the AoE part might be to waste some slots in hide to boost the Def against that, the only other way to provide a slight mitigation against the DoT would be to slot Health, which would slightly boost your regen to help mitigate the DoT, oh and put at least 2 interrupts in Aid Self.

And btw the Brute does get a stealth, not a good one but it comes with a nice def boost anyway, better def boost then hide gives actually
