Don think there is any other condition than the pure defeats.
Observe that for this badge it is 100 fires AND 100 Hellion, while it is fires OR Hellions for the other badges.
I got the same feeling when I was doing it - I was sure I'd done more than 100 of each, but it can be deceptive.
It's way easier to get the 100 Hellions, so from now on, you should just concentrate on the fires, and ignore the arsonists.

I'm still also trying to get this badge, but the fires in Steel canyon seem far and few between nowadays.
Every time i'm in Steel i'll fly up and down a few times and never seem to catch building burning. I usually find one thats just finshed burning, with the smoke rising.
Guess we will get it one day, just seems you have to be in the right place at the right time.

On a seperate but linked note. I have been playing for 18mnths+ and only recently I got the Knight Errant badge for the first time in kings, as in right place at right time. Shame it wasn't on my badger Main thou.

When I was going for the badge I would leave my char in Steel and log into that char first every day, have a looksie put out any fires then log onto another char, I would also do the same before I logged off. It took me far longer to get the raving trolls this way than the fires.
I need advice in getting the "Fire Chief" badge for fighting fires in Steel. I'm sure I've fought more than 100 fires and 100 hellions but I still don't have the badge. Is their conditions that the fire has to be put out to count or something else and if so who wants to join a fire fighting team cos it's really hard soloing it even at lev 50 as the hellions keep relighting the fires.
