Foot Stomp - Best slotting
IIRC it's fairly endurance heavy and has a long recharge. It does decent damage though and Knockdown.
My Inv Tank never needed to slot it for taunt duration, invincibility and taunt kept aggro well.
I have it 6-slotted: 1Acc/3Damage/1EndRed/1Recharge... perma-rage will let you skip a second accuracy SO.
If I was using it as a Damage mitigation tool I'd probably slot it Acc/Rech/Rech/Endred/Endred so it was up as often as possible, the knockdown effect is very handy when you're tanking non S/L damage mobs.
Since my tanker is high def (as taken everything to mitigate and resist damange) then would slotting for damage be more useful?
Does foot stomp knock down everything?
I'd go with damage, but it's up to you!
There's an 80% chance for Knockdown, so most of the mobs around you will be bounced.
Ok.. ta
If you slot Rage for 1 or 2 to hit buffs and go perma, you can probably forgo the Accuracies all together, depending on what you're fighting, but it should be as good or better than 2 ACCs for a normal person. Remember you get a to hit buff in invincibility too. This is about 2% per IIRC.
As for slotting for Rage. 3 slotted for recharge without Hasten or 2 slotted with Hasten guarantees having Rage up at all times.

I got an 1 acc, 1 end 3 dam and a rechg and i use foc acc or rage or both.

1 Acc, Rage, Foc Acc and Invincibility ( 3 targets ) will cap you against +6s, assuming no to hit enhancements...
1 Acc, Rage and Invincibility will cap +4s.
1 Acc, Foc Acc and Invincibility will cap +3s.
1 ACC + Invincibility was all I ever needed for Golden Golem. Rage 1 slotted with to hit buffs and invincibility is generally better than that. I think I have Rage 2 or 3 slotted for to hits with Hibernal Flea and I think I don't use ACC enhancements except maybe on KO blow, which I hate when it misses.

i just went for 2 ACC 3 Recharge and 1 end reducer

Thanks for that. My 1 acc makes me exempable prior to foc acc and rage as well as it would be if I wasn't currently built to get around to doing most of the pvp zone content eventually. But I sometimes have enough on my plate versus some enemies and with some teams than worry about rage crash and so use foc acc for bonus to acc. Also Foc Acc under -Per conditions (Arachnos) is simply great. I could pop a yellow but id rather not need to store them. I have 2 Acc on knockout blow, apparently it has a base +20% acc to one source and yet I am more likely to miss with it than anything else :s. Good to see ya back, i was wondering where ya went.

i slotted 2 acc after 3vp, its defacto slotting on all my tanks now, copes with all debuffs, even on my tauntys i still find gauntlet and other side effects more important

I know about the your opinions of the Rage crash. We've had that conversation before. I'm a lot more blase about it than you, but it does hurt more on an Inv. -Per is yicky, FA does solve it.

I slunk away after getting bored. I played a few other games and then bought another month in a fit of nostalgia. It's fun again now.

Is the rage crash fairly noticable then? To be honest I have not really noticed it when teaming with other tankers using my alts.
Is rage useful enough that the crash is something worth living with?
yep its worth it
i only noticed it when it crashed at the same time as haste.
@ExtraGonk
So how about running it in teams? I have heard some people say that it can cause problems if you are running it in a team?
Are there any tips on what to do before rage wears off to make sure that all of the aggro is still on you for the 10 secconds? (im guessing it would be do foot stomp and taunt like mad lol).
Using Taunt just before the Rage crash will easily make you keep aggro for those 10 seconds.
You might want to watch though as the crash gives you a considerable -defence debuff.
The only problem my INV had with running Rage on teams was weathering the endurance crash.
Rage is certainly worth the crash.
If you continue attacking to the point the crash hits, you'll keep most of the gauntletted aggro you have collected but lose the aura'd aggro. So hit a few people just before it crashes. All tanker attacks have a 13.5 second taunt attached to them according to nofuture . If you have taunt use it before the crash too. So the aggro you'll lose would be the taunt aura aggro.
You also get a defence debuff, so you will be squishier during that 10 seconds. A foot stomp right before the crash is ideal to give you only 5 seconds of so of low defence aggro.
It's worth keeping an eye on the clock though, if you crash when you are about to enter a spawn things can get hairy for other people.

I have gone for as much def as possible on my tank, so hopefully I will have enough left to cover the crash.
Does anyone know how much of -def it is? I have weave and whatever other def things I can get, so have a fairly respectable +def.
Basically is it bad enough to worry and leg it out of a huge herd or not?
EDIT: just thought.. is it -def only and not -resist? My tanker is pretty high on the resist side and good on the -def.
-20% Defense to Self for 10 seconds says nofuture.
Rage crash is fine if you taunt an AV or taunt and footstomp a group (I don't like all other less guaranteeing options). I just don't happen to use it around certain mobs in certain team make ups. The damage increase per endurance saves you endurance and you just have to know when its going to drop and possibly tell a team they have to wait. Since the flashing buff change its been easier to work with but I still maybe preoccupied with something else at the time to even notice.

If like my Inv tank you have close to maxed out def, that def crash would mean reducing your defence to half or less. You are probably going to take 2-4 times as much damage as normal during those few seconds. However it is only a few seconds.
I can't say from experience how bad it is because I have Rage on my Ice Tank. Unlike Inv tanks, Ice Tanks have defence debuff resistance so the effect is less drastic.

1acc3dam1recharge1end IMO or 1acc 2 dam 2 recharge 1 end.

i found as others, a well timed footstomp before the crash eliminates half the crash time anyway.
mostly its bad when you run into a new group and it crashes straight away, doh
@ExtraGonk
Nice.. doesnt sound too bad then.
Still got a few levels to wait till I get it though but its nice to know before I get the power myself

Has happened to me, you run in and do nothing...then everyone else starts and you just cant do anything.
I like to use f7 for ready or footstomp, icepatch, fire sword circle etc cos that way if i mishap/dont quite have aggro i simply dont say ready and can plant and pay for my own. People who would watch me go down and not attack could most likely end up on my global.

Hi,
Soon I hope to take foot stomp on my inv/ss tank, and was wondering what the best slotting I can put on it?
At the moment, I have devoted 5 slots to it (but can move this about if needed to 6 slot it). I was thinking Acc, Acc, Recharge, taunt, taunt.
What has everyone else got on this? The next power I would be getting would be rage (and should have rage 3 slotted the next level).
Thanks for the help
