also, make sure that the same person isnt lead for all the tfs, each tf should have a different lead, so that people get a break, and also it may be beneficial to avoid having a lead with no travel power or just flight...
17 would be better start due to better enhances, if you're not getting xp in the first tf may as well make sure you're using the best enhances to go with it.

[/ QUOTE ] Super Speeders/Super Jumpers might be good for the delivery and patrole missions, although my flight is currently maxed out :P. 8 people and 6 TFs, all but 2 people will have a chance to lead, so when it comes to it, everyone will toss a coin, heads stay in, tales drop out untill there is a winner :P

[/ QUOTE ] Say, 36 Hours Max, if we reach the half way point within about 12 hours, we should be good to finish the rest within 24, but if were onto the 2nd last or last and its past the 24 hours, we should keep going lol.
_Spirit, you seem very entusiastic about this, your deffo in lol - and to anyone else who has signed up before my last post with the 7 things about the marathon, have a think about it and re-sign up if you still wanna join us, if your in, you in for the whole thing

Yeah, it almost sounds a plausible timeframe - 24 hours sounds much more insane

I will post my plan later. I think you can easily get all 6 TFs done in less than 24 hours including 3 longish breaks away from your PC for lunch, dinner and a midmorning snack.
The double XP weekend is next weekend - I'm going to have to try and escape some previous real life commitments now

Neways, Double XP weekend is the 26th to 28th of this month, so, we'll be starting on the 27th, which is the saturday - best time to start would be 7-8am for the best shot - subject to change though

Just for the record and as I already mentioned this to DB... if this is really going to take 36 hours then I think I will have to pull out. 36 hours is just too long for me!
I'm not sure Beaver should even be allowed to take part if he's soft enough to suggest 36 hours

i think splitting this into 2 days will be better for all, saturday and sunday

Double xp weekends dont come round often and we've done the tfs all before, with xp petering out in the 30s so you wont be able to take a new to all im seeing less and less point it.
it becomes an exercise in speed of tf rather than a real decent goal for characters in range, certainly i have way many more characters i'd like to spend double xp on than being shoehorned into bringing exemp in so that we have a chance of succeeding fast.
thinking of the actual logistics of it, even looking at psy's sub 24 plan for it i've come to the realisation that i actually dont want to do this... the shards was different because they so rarely get done, but these ones have been done so many times on good and bad teams i really dont feel the urge to play them again.
So, Im sorry to have signed up and pulled out, but i just can not see myself dedicating time to this and still wanting to even play the game at the end of it.
And after discussing with Psy I know she feels the same way.

I can't give an answer of if I'm in or out until Monday when I see my workschedule.
I would have liked to take part in this but I won't be back in front of my computer until the Sunday of the double xp weekend. Best of luck with the marathon

Im Back!!!!! Had no time since Sunday
Anyways, some paticulers about the Marathon:
1) There are only 4 Free Spaces, Myself, Psygon, ExtraGonk and Golden_Girl are all pre-signed up
2) If your in, your in untill we finish (im thinking 36 hours myself)
3) New Charicters MUST be level 15 Minimum and with a travel power
4) Recall Friend and Invis are a advantage (like GG said)
5) Im writing a plan for the fastest way to get through all 6 task forces
6) If i charicter failes to meet the level requirments for the next TF, you can switch to one that is, if you dont have another, we'll sort something out
7) I dont know what charicter to use, either starting something new or bringing along my main peacebringer
Most of this has been stolen from the above posts :P if i get around to it, im gonna e-mail Bridger and see if he has any insight into the date the Double XP event will be
