Best (Shortest) base raid ever!
Mmm I may have to reassess my opinion about attackers being gimped
ps. kudos for good shot at sarcasm, xan
Actually hyperphase was what we used too to win most of our raids when attacking. Combination of phase + tons of pets + repulsion field + (lag...LAG...LAAAAG) proved fatal to our generators way faster than we expected, after they were down it has been just a matter of spawncamping while we returned from hospital (cause attackers spawn in their base) and to place pylons takes no longer than couple mins. Well played PD, first one we ever lost so fast!! Lookin forward to the match against Furies now....and i accept sarcasm when it comes from good players
I can only say GG Paragon Defenders and friends, thanks for the battle, i hope this lose will make us more tough

Well, for the most part it wasn't sarcasm. The last few times we've arena'd against you guys you've been a lot tougher than the first times. It's just that for some reason it didn't show last night.
Yeah, well I was mainly referring to the "it was a hard fight, but after 9 minutes.."
PvP temp powers ftw.
Anyway good show guys, Im looking forward for more of the same. Lets all use this as a learning experience. If possible could we make it bit earlier next time, cause I have a timezone problem..
EDIT:
Oh and congrats on Excellent strategy, Xanthus, now im personally much wiser regarding base raids.
Latest raids have been all a matter of spamming temporary powers. We won against the echelon that way even if they put up a great resistance. When defending we spawncamped with mines, pets and so on, when attacking we did exactly what PD did to counter spawncamp. Does it work? yes it does. Is it fun? well honestly best raids were those when we were more ignorant of the "art of warfare", when it was just a matter of pvp more than of organization of when and how to spam temporary powers. Raids against Nightstalkers for example were just a big messy rumble but everyone at the end could be proud of their kills. Raids are still horribly bugged (external buffers come to mind as well as near indestructible anchors, pylons penalizing bigger bases, fixed spawnpoints and so on) but at least for us they are a way to let even those players not entirely focused on pvp engage in it. Our base back then was more rational and pvp oriented. Of late we revamped with "style" in mind cause not all our players are interested in pvp and we have to listen their demands too. Furies Vs Nightstalkers had it even worst, when we used to raid eachother we would play with terrain at our advantage creating "killing fields" zones so cluttered with objects you cant really move through without teleport but that still permits to AoE to death the enemy. In the end its just a matter of "i want to win" and not anymore i want to have fun playing. Since in this game ultimately theres nothing to win maybe we shall all try to get down to make it fun for everyone but thats just my 2 cents on it.

Yeah I hear you, which is why I have been a proponent of massed battles like pvp zones as well and not just minutely planned arena battles. If player numbers matter, then everybody regardless of skill can help. This is why I have still been going on to the zones in hopes of igniting the pvp sparkle on people. Arena is much more cold and cruel enviroment to get started on PvP.
However personally I dont enjoy chaotic conditions that much. Nothing irks me more than losing and not being able to do anything about it. Even though I propably had less lag than most in that base raid (ran it on pretty much max settings .. ) , it could have been worse. I enjoyed this one cause we had a good plan, managed to stick to it, knew where to go and what to do. That sort of battle I can appreciate personally
ps. I cant think of much that could have been done to stop us really.. so thumbs up for good fight . Debuff nukes seemed really good in taking down those generators.. I was really surprised how fast they went down.
I can think about a million things that could have been done.
Some basic pointers.
1) Guard vital points better, and ignore the spawnpoint.
2) Getter a better combo of AT's. More defenders/controllers basicly. More blasters (duo nukes own).
3) Think harder about your base setup.
4) Defending is about killing really, really fast. So get more red insp, so your dmg dealers are always at the dmgcap.
5) Use your bubblers in more annoying places, and tell them to move more. So you screw up coordination and melee'ers.
6) Dont think this is solved by adding more tmp-powers. Its about knowing how to PvP. Get your SG-Members do to more team fights.
7) Read why FotM are FotM's. And how they are used.
8) Learn why team roles are important.
9) All our teams are highly buffed, so dont expect fear, holds, immobs and so on to work.
10) You cant slow a team that has a kinetics.
11) Cage dmg dealers before they do damage.

Sadly I wasn't in the fray, I came back from work at 22.15 (GMT +1 of course)... afaik, just 6 minutes later after the end of it all...
Reading my friends' resume of the defeat, I had a couple of ideas to counter the tactic, though...
Congratulations to the winners, then.

i was in both of them raids, shifted a alt over to the night stalkers for one of them, and from NS side of things the raid against furies base were NOT fun, it felt more like we got to win at all costs, and there wasn't fun there > having your bases like that was a good stratergy to win, but fun? nope not even close. the fun part was when you started to raid against the night stalkers base, now that was fun why because it came down to the players For ref fen was the alt i used on the raid against the furies base and dark radiant hunter was the other one used for the other raid against the furies base the only peeps that could move round were either phased or had TP. with regards to the spawn point camping, personaly i'd be happier seeing a timer like sirens call warburg etc, that lasts the length of the "average" load, so the timer runs out 2 secs AFTER the player has actualy loaded in and can do something, where's the fun in ganking someone who cant do anything cause they still loading and by the time they load in their already dead.....
and big CONGRATZ to the PD on that one (and i know the next raid the furies/possie do against someone eother than the swords or PD isn't going to be easy for whoever they're against and to the furies and possie, been fun everytime i've run across you in pvp zones i might freq- face plant but it lets me try new ideas looking forward to more fun
Tonight the Italian Posse faced up to The Paragon Defenders (and friends) in a baseraid. It was a hard fight, but after nine minutes the Paragon Defenders came out on top after dropping six pylons in the Posse base.
Here are a couple of screenshots of the scores:

Kudos to the Italian Posse though, you played really well and you're definitely getting better. You guys just need to practice against us more
I guess that this is proof that spawn camping doesn't work. Hyperphase FTW!
