Heavies for base Defence!

I love the Heavies you get in RV.

How about allowing a new room type to be added to bases: The Garage. 3 Sizes, first one contains one heavy platform, 2nd contains two.. guess how many the 3rd has?...

Would be cool to take conrol of these things to defend your base. Yes it would probably stack things in the defenders favout but, its their base... surely they should have the advantage...

Would be a cool idea but i dont think the hero heavy would actually be able to fit in some base's especially at choke off points where the ceiling and floor are at their highest before they become a merged wall

You could just use the temp power from RV.

I think having a large Heavy direct from RV would be a bit much. The controller of the Heavy would just hide while it one hits everything and was pretty much impregnable. In the enclosed spaces it would take up all the room too lol.

Well, how about the temporary power being the robot you can have for defence? It's smaller so would be more practical and isn't as powerful so (slightly) more fair to the attackers.

Yeah would be fun! Unfortunately it would be a mammoth sway of imbalance to the defenders favour.

Currently attackers are pretty much doomed once the entry point is discovered. It is possible to break a gank area on the spawn point, but it is very very difficult. Defenders who know their base and have built it tactically have giant odds in their favour, which, like you said, is quite right. It's home turf .
