I've never ever realy played a blaster but i'm thinking of making one for PvP.

I was just wondering what would people recomend from the Devices Secondary for PvP?

web grenade for the -jump and the -fly it has.
caltrops for the -speed it has
targeting drone for the +perception and the tohitbuff
cloacking device for the stealth it gives.

if you like telebombing i guess the mines would be good.

Teleporting i'm not the best at . . . so i'll give them a miss

So are they the only realy good ones for PvP?

thoser are enough, taser is ok depending on your primary.

I'd go with Web Grenade, Caltrops, Drone, Mines and Cloak. The Mines are good when you're bored - something to do and when someone lands on them, the damage is nifty. I wouldn't touch Taser, even if it combines with stun arrow for double disorient. You'll be wanting to stay at range with a /devices blaster, so a melee power is a bit too risky.

Archey is excellent for damage IMO so yep. Plus it fits in with my chracter.

ok, take the power i suggested those are the nice ones, unless you wanna set mines and tp foe onto them.

Archery has a great single target attack chain (one of the best in the game IMO), even if it has no special effects attached to it. Should have great time against defense -based enemies, but Smashing/Lethal Resistance will bite you in the back at some point.

Web Grenade also has -recharge
Caltrops prevent jumping
Cloaking Device can offer some additional defence.

And the mines dont need TP to work well, plant some around, and when a melee AT villain comes at you, stay on the mines, throw down caltrops when they get near, and boom, nomore villain. Works well against most ATs to be fair.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm devices

# web nade for -jump n VERY nasty -recharge ftw

# caltrops just to remove any AS's if immo'd etc

# cloak for flying round, sniping etc (not bad def either)

# target drone to see them pesky critters ;D

# mines for tp minefields


extra powers:-

tactics/assualt .... fly .... tp foe .... stam/swift/hurdle

if defiancing do NOT take health , regens too fast and you lose defiance too quickly

Archery has extra accuracy as a 'special effect', and that is NEVER too bad. Beats my Energy's KB anytime. Combined with Jedi training device... MMMMMM One con is draw animation though.

also archery is great for PvP due to the fact its hard to backtrace a shot, meaning you can do surprise attacks without the enemy detecting you easier.

same for AR tho, and greater range with taht, cept default dmg (without defiance) is VERY shoddy

main issues i got with arch is the anim timse (still) end useage (still) and overall look, just prefer energy really

on all ones i tried ye, i was under impression that they reduced the end costs for the arch set, but seems same to me...

very end heavy and not great for devices and alot of toggles running at same time :P

Archery is very low end usage, I just about never never run out of end with my arch/dev.

If u gonna b goin into the zones for your pvp id suggest takin Web nade, caltrops, Targeting Drone and trip mines. Imho they r the 4 main powers to take, stealth is good but i found that having that as an extra toggle power is kinda end heavy with the Drone. Plus if u wanna use the devices for stalker huntin id suggest takin tactics to as it will help u see pretty much all stalkers (in which case another reason not to take stealth)
Plus if you have set up a lot of mines u WANT that brute or stalker to see u standin there so they get close to the mines. so no point in stealth til around the 30s assumin that is that u gonna b in sirens more than the later zones
