How good is smoke?

Was just wondering if someone knew the numbers on what smoke does -Acc? Is it on par with Flash Arrow?

Believe it's only about -5% so not exactly worth it for the tohit debuff.

The -perception is very nice though.

As Archy says; the acc debuff is more of a nice side effect than something to take the power for in itself.

The blinding aspect, though, can be very handy. Cast it on a mob (it's autohit, and non-aggroing) to affect his entire group, then walk right past them. Or, if you're in a full room and think there's danger of the meleers aggroing a second group while they finish off the first, Smoke the extras to stop them noticing anything.

If its that low then there really isn't much point in taking it.
Granted the -perception is nice but you get the same effect from other powers like SS or invis too. And while as your example shows it might sometimes be handy, you really don't want to tie up a power spot for something that occasionally will be useful.

well....it's fairly handy in your lowlvls but loses some of its appeal when you progress in lvls...but as Standoff said it can still be handy.

As a sidenote...I would definately take it if you wish to PvP as the -perception is a lifesaver (it's not autohit in PvP so need to slot accuracy if PvPing)

Until you get to level 32, and try that trick with Fire Imps in tow....

Reducing the risk of additional aggro is one of the main uses of Smoke, but I slap it on mobs as much as I posibly can, any accuracy debuff is better than none, and combined with my FF secondary, it's a nice little complement, thank you very much
