Getting Aid self is a bit of overkill isn't it Max? If you just slot some recharges on Hibernate it's up quite quickly.

Changes between PVE and PVP:
<ul type="square">[*]Slot at least one Deff buff in Energy Absorption for PVE[*]replace all 2nd accuracy enhancements on attacks for end reductions in PVE[*]replace slow enhancements on Chilling Embrace and Accuracies on Taunt for Taunt Durations in PVE[*]You could probably lose Permafrost as I only take it for the added slow protection in PVP. Maybe replace it with Swift or if you have enough slots, Whirling hands for nice PVE AoE[*]You could skip both Challenge and Superjump and take something more PVE oriented in there[/list]
This is not a very solo friendly build as you really lack damage until around lv 35+. It's great in teams though. I've also not slotted 2 armours for end reduction, as Energy Absorption takes care of that problem.

What do you mean? Hibernate can be used more easily that Aid self in a fight and outside of a fight you can just use rest. You worried about losing aggro or something? In my experience that really doesn't happen that quickly when you've slotted CE with 3 taunt durations. So the time spent in Hibernate doesn't affect the mob aggro as much as you might think.
I'm sure aid self can increase survivability, but seriously is survivability that much of a problem? I know it's not for me. The times I've died on this toon were mostly the result of chance, like when the game decides that your defense is taking a break and everything hits through it at once, resulting in insta death. Aid self won't help you with that.
If you have a spread group, you need to keep moving to keep aggro. Aid self only takes about ½ a second stop to fire off, whereas hibernate takes longer to heal any useful amount.

Im glad you said that, have you got taunt yet?
@Mesmer those slows in chilling embrace maybe a bit excessive to actual requirements id have 2 of them slots moved to taunt durations in taunt which if you need to kite and if having to suit well in varied team make ups you may need to do would go very well. But i am sure iirc you are going to pvp and if so those slows would be good in that case. 2 taunt durations makes a difference in preventing a squishy from being ganked in pvp still imo from experience.

And no I don't have taunt yet I find that Chilling Embrace and Energy Absorbtion keeps my agrro good enough. Though I will be respecing it in as I find the odd baddie runs off.

I've CE 3 slotted with Taunt duration at this time. I was just too lazy to change the slotting just for this post [img]/uk/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]. For PVE it's always 3 slotted with Taunt Duration. As for slotting Taunt with Taunt duration, I was actually planning to spam both Taunt and Challenge for perma Taunting in PVP. I'm changing around the accs for Taunt duration in PVE. I reckon, with Taunt, Challenge and Punchvoke I should be to keep most aggro of the squishies.
Hey all, I have a respec on my tank and im just wondering if anyone can advise me on a build for team play and casual PvP.Something that can maximise my defense too as I find it isint the best even slotted up [img]/uk/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]. He is a Ice/Energy tank Lv 41 at the mo and I havint a clue what to take for epics I was thinking fire for the AoE.
