Pool Power help needed
I know its not the same, but with my NRG/NRG brute i took the fitness pool for obvios reasons , Medicin for survivability as NRG and Elec could use a heal, Fly for my travel power as Air Sup really ups my survivabiliy and helps me to fire off Aid self (not that i normaly need that with my slotting) and hasten from speeed.
I know thats leaning alot on pool powers but i thought them all very usful to the way i play. As an elec you may be able to skip hasten as you have a mini one (apoximatly 1/3rd strength according to hero builder) you wond need acrobatics aslong as you dont leap in the air too much, hovering knockback wont affect you and on the ground 'grounded' should keep you safe think its been buffed a few times since test.
if you can i would take sprint/hurdle, health stamina, air sup, fly and hasten if you can fit it all in.
hope ive made sense im crazy tired, will post again if i messed up or you have any questions
Well I'm already set on swift instead of hurdle, just wondering if it isn't a waste to have sprint/swift/LR and ALSO have super speed...
I think this is the build I've settled on, it's in random order so just pay attention to the powers and how they're slotted

Although some people have reported feeling a diffenece between 3 and 6 slotting hasten even after ED i would leave it at 3 slots. would possibly be worth sticking a recharge in Aid other. i wouldnt slot hurdle and sprint.
Sprint with one SO is 19.9 mph 3 sloted is 21.49
Hurdle is with one so 33.96 mph 3 slotted 43.9
(according to hero builder)
not enough to make a difference id take one from each and add them to power sink, loved energy drain and i think there basicly the same. but all in all it looks pretty good
You shouldn't need acrobatcics with grounded, as long as you fight close to ground. I'd propably go for SS+Fly, using fly for vertical travel only, taking AS over hover, and hasten over flurry.
acro for PVP grounded for PVE.
I see alot of wasted slot and one end hungry build
2 slot shields with end reduxs
1 slot all attacks with 1 end redux except TF which needs 2.
drop the extra slots in,lighting reflexes, swift, hurdle, hasten.
No need for airsup and fly take cj,sj,acro if its for PVP
Defiant's GoEH/MILITIS METUS
I heard air sup was pretty important for pvp, which is why I took Flying instead of Leaping. Will I really need both SJ and SS?
Contrary to my previous posts in this forum. It has become very apparent the Grounded is unreliable in PVP. If you going to PVP get the leaping pool CJ/SJ&Acro the additional immob/kb protection is purest gravy.
Recently I was teamed with a SS/ELA who had the leaping pool in Warburg, while fighting a Stone Controller I was repeatedly held (once even during PowerSurge) while he leapt around with impunity.
After my next respec my build is going to look like this, not 100% sure on the post 43 slotting, I seem to have a lot of slots and not a lot of powers that need them: -

That's basically the build I was planning on getting untill I heard that Air Sup was important.
The question is more what do you want , to cover the weakness of knockback and hold against a controller.
so more protection.
Or able to prevent people from running and knocking down flyers with Airsuperiority.
In PVE the AS take 100% more presence in a brute cause its a garantee knockup and fast fury builder.
While in PVP its also a major factor in beating knockback resitance and having a quick chain followup, it isnĀ“t so dominating as in PVE .
So its simply what you want more defense or offense.
If defense go for the leaping pool
If offense go for Flying pool with AS .
Superspeed yes definetly a plus in PvP since fly is quite slow , while superspeed means a quick escape or fast approach , SJ is more for range attackers since they can kite with impunity , its much tricker for melee at to master .
Well hope this helps your choice.
First of all hello everyone
I'm new to the game and decided to create an EM/ELA brute, I've sorta found my way around the builder but I'm stuck on what pool powers to get (I've decided to slot out sprint, hurdle, swift, LR etc). I don't think I'd be satisfied without another travel power however and this is where I'm stuck.
I'm definately getting fitness and medicine for the self heal, which leaves 2 pools open. Here I could either open the speed pool (for hasten and super speed), the flying pool (for air superiority and fly), the leaping pool (for CJ and SJ), or the teleport pool (for TP foe and self).
The part I'm stuck on precisely, is chosing which combination of two pool powers would create the best overall synergy.
For example, if I took Fly as a travel power I would need acrobatics, which would mean I'd have to open the leaping pool and waste abilities there. If I then took that, I would also be lacking Hasten, and air superiority vice versa if I took the speed pool.
Does anyone have a good suggestion for a combination of two pool powers with lacking the least and not wasting abilities? Can Hasten/Air superiority be spared in a build and still work?
I'm lost, please help
