Which power would u pick?

Hi all,

Just 1 fast question: Im lvling an ice/kin corr (FreshHunter, for those i have played with) and im liking her so far. I have played b4 a dominator to lvl38, and anothers corrs, so i know how this works...

My problem is that I have hit lvl28, and Im not sure what power select. My current build is:

ICE: Ice bolt, Ice Blast, Freeze Ray, BIB
KIN: Transfusion, Siphon power, Siphon Speed, Speed Boost.
Pools: hurdle, health, stamina, combat jumping, SJ, acrobatics, hasten.

So now, the options i got are:

* Ice storm: PvE will be boosted.
* Aim: PvP mainly purposes.
* Increase Density: Cool to buff m8s.
* Inertial Reduction: Nice to unsupreseable movement.
* SuperSpeed: for the stealth component.
* Leadership pool, im thinkin on it, assault lvl28, tactics lvl30.

Each one has its pros/cons, so i would like to know which power would u pick.

And finally, i will start the thread giving my opinion: I would go for... AIM. I feel its the nxt power i should grab, looking at my build.

Any others thoughs? Tnx for ur responses.

Peace.

Take aim, will make you happy everytime engineers get out forcefield gens, behemoths activate invincibility, or just the occasional heals/freezes hitting +5s.

Looks like a good build so far (although I would have never picked the Jumping Pool).
Aim is just the obvious choice and in this case I would strongly suggest picking the obvious.
And don´t you dare to pick Leadership, because as an Ice/Kin you will use your fulcrum shifted Blizzard often and it would be a real pain in the neck having to retoggle over and over again after each frozen mob. My rule of thumb: If you are kinetic corruptor (other than AR), toggles are not your friend.

If it has
eyes, you can blind it, if it has blood, you can make it bleed, if it has a mouth, you can make it scream.

Tnx both for ur responses. Yeah, Synestra, im with u AIM is the choosen power, but all those nice powers makes me doubt...

BTW, sin, tnx for ur response, I decided to go for the leaping pool mainly for the mezz protection (inmob, kb and hold), but it happened sometimes im running low end, and then, i just switch off the toggles, and go ahead.

But mainly, becoz i want to test this toon in pvp, and the leaping pool is the best rite there (that and some BFs).

This reason is why i was thinking in taking Aim

Just the last though: Should be ok pick blizzard only? or should i grabb blizard and ice storm for totally AoE destruction??

Hmm, doubts, many doubts...

Peace.

(imho)The hold protection (mag 1) in acrobatics is useless in both pvp and pve. i dont know any numbers, but i get held a lot in pve even with acro active.

Most people pick the leaping pool for the mezz protection, but as Synestra already pointed out you need some BFs anyway, so I prefer Hover for KB protection on my /Kin and take along some BFs for the rest... You don´t really need any other inspis as a /Kin anyway (except for some small blues for those post-Blizzard-moments when you need something to power transference).

Concerning Ice Storm: Yeah, I would definitely recommend taking it if you can somehow fit it in. Combined with Syphon Speed enemies will be fleeing slooooowly and not even think about shooting back while you take them out... Fulcrum shifted combination of Ice Storm + Blizzard = dead spawn anytime. Just don´t try this trick against Archon Manuela, the big bad hairy Woof. Thick fur makes slow resistent, I guess...

Hasten + 1 siphon speed = perma held purple boss. (freeze ray only)

Tnx again for ur responses...

Sin: i respeced into the leaping pool for the hate of mezzs... as a dominator, i have played without any protection (besides BFs), and i have been very pissed off when any1 just stopped my mindcrazyboombasticchainofnodmgDOOM... anyway, i think the leapin pool is for me, i will stick with it for a time.

Also, u said ur not with the toggles as a /kin, meanwhile the solution u gave me is another toggle (hover), much end hunger than CJ (remember, acrobatics mostly time off, only on when i see mezzes around)... No intention in being rude, just it has no sense for my toon, imo

Synestra: ey, freeze ray is worth to 6 slot it?? I mean, i got it 2acc, 2holddur, and im really happy with it, thinkin on more slots if they r necesary... The way u told me the perma hold in bosses is making me to think if i would 6 slot it...

Ah, u both guys, tnx for ur responses again, i went for AIM, and yeah, im happy with it

Peace.

Acrobatics will prevent anyone except Controllers and Dominators from being able to hold you in one shot. It can come in handy against a Blaster who only has one hold - normally they'd be able to hold you and then make quick work of killing you. The best part about it, though, is really the knockback protection.

Ah, didnt know that. always thought non-controller holds were mag 2 or something.
