Planned Storm Build
I see Psygon thanks for the tipHowever i will persevere in my ways, cause seriously, having a -def debuff of 110 percent is just very cool, and the opportunities to use it more often than it´s natural recharge rate allows for rarely comes up(weird sentence there)and used in alliance with blaster novas....well you figure it out....a niova that does basically double the dmg(at least according to numbers)is sweet
I will however change the slotting on some of my attacks due to your lesson about ED,thanks

It's not a 110% -def debuff. It's a 110% improvement of whatever the base -def debuff is. And honestly, there's no point in slotting more than 3 enhancements of anything.

[/ QUOTE ][censored]? You should be using it whenever it's up and you're fighting enemies, thus 3 rech is VERY useful. Plus, the most important aspect of the power is the -resistance, which you cant slot so you need the recharge to have the power up as much as possible to benefit more.
Slotting more than 3 of one SO type in a power is a waste, as others have said.
Well, say whatever you want....blasters kiss my feet, and i believe that using FR on a group of 2 mobs is a solid waste of an AoE.....and i´ve had one complaint in 35 lvls, and that´s because i was playing while drunk(generally not good),but i respect your opinions altough i do not agree
-Def debuffs don't affect damage. It's the -Res component of freezing rain that increases damage and that is unslottable.
-Def just makes attacks hit more often and since blasters will be using aim and buildup before a nova, they are unlikely to miss anything anyway.
I agree with the others, slot freezing rain for 3 recharge and use it as often as possible. It's slightly less than permanent, even without hasten. 1 endrdx 3 rech works for my defender. I have it slotted 2 end 3 rech 1 defdbf on my controller though as the base debuff values are less than my defender and he has much worse endurace issues.
Ohh,so they dont affect dmg, well now that you mention it i guess it´s pretty obvious....hmm,maybe i should reslot it,anyone knows how lnog the debuff last,is it just when they´re inside the AoE or if it lasts even while they´ve ran out of it??(Sorry for hijacking the thread btw)
I believe the debuff lasts while they have the blue 'chill' cloud on them.

yups, not sure if its still the full debuff amount tho, could be wrong. i never take notice on my storm really lol
Its still the full debuff..Tho the -speed (depending on your slotting) takes longer to go off then the -res
Gale- 2acc/2rch/1endrdx
Snow Storm- 3/3
Steamy Mist- 3resistance/3 end rdx, the defence sucks
Rain- 3rch/3slow
Tornado- 3Disorient, maybe 3 for damage, if you need it.
Lightning Storm- 3dmg. Rarely ever misses
Power Build Up- 3 rch
Temp Invul- 3 dmg res, 3 end rdx
Total focus instead of whirlwind (you won't be able to hit
people with it with Gale/Tornado/Hurricane running, and the end cost is too much)- 3dmg/2rch/1disorient
Try and shove Thunder Clap in there somewhere- 2acc/2rch/2dis
