can't give you tips but fought an elec/ice blaster and was pretty hard..just plays a bit different then most...sonic has stronger range damage overal so it should work out
(please people don't start about thunderous blast cause thats a nuke so not really pvp wise)
I have a sonic/nrg blaster, only lvl 21... However, I have teamed with a sonic blaster in Sirens and have also faced a sonic corruptor there... as a squishy.
The tier 8 power (screech) I've seen used really well and I've found it very annoying to be disorientated... I don't think I've ever seen anyone use Siren's Song (the sleep) but then after taking it myself I do think that the animation time to cast it might stop people from using it as a PvP power (kinda leaves you open to a stalker attack).

I never liked sirens song tbh and ive no idea about Frozen Aura - but i have a respec sat there and could try it out on test if you don't get anything useful here.
Tier 9 sonic though - Dreadful wail - is excellent for PvP. Very quick animation and does a huge amount of damage.
By late game, do you mean pvp only or pve ?
I don't think damage is a concern for Sonic, PvE.
ST wise:
Shout ~= Blaze/BIB
Shriek ~= ice bolt/fire blast
Scream ~= ice blast
AoE wise, Howl + Shockwave can do as much damage as Elec (BL+SC), Nrj (ET+EB) and Ice blast (FB+ice storm).
On top of that, you have -RES on all your blasts except Shockwave.
Sonic is kinda like Ice, strong ST damage, decent but hard to use AoEs. There's only one big problem with Sonic : animation times are sooo long. Shout takes 4s or so (can't remember what I got when I timed it, something around 3,8 I think) and has a short range, those two things make it rather tricky to use in pvp IMO.
General question really.
Rolled a sonic/ice blaster as a kind of controllery pvp blaster. A 'keep things close and kill them' toon. At the moment i am really enjoying the toon and it certainly performs at low level, and very well. However, scoping out the later sonic powers, the tier 7 and 8 seem to lack damage of any real usefullness. I had some plans for combining the sleeps from the sonic and ice sets but not sure if that will be senisble pvp.
Anyhoo, anyone running a Sonic/Ice that can enlighten me as to their late game viability?
