How does 'Air Superiority' actually work?
It's a melee attack with the same animation as haymaker and can be incredibly usefull because of it's -fly which helps quite alot in PvP.
It's a melee attack, so you need to be in range for it fire, but it's not interuptable so you can "jump" past and hit them with it.
AFAIK it's got middling damage...similar to energy punch i *think*.
It's amazing. Once you hit something with it (No matter what level/con) it gets -fly and falls directly to the ground. It works on GMs (Caleb is where it's really needed) and AVs with one hit. Put an ACC SO in and you're laughing.
Also, seeing nobody mentioned it, it's a quaranteed knockdown, enough to take a MoB out of the fight for few secs.
Yeah. With a recharged reduciton or hasten etc it possible to autofire and keep the enemy down.
In my experience, not 100%, but it is very, very high, probably something like 90%, maybe higher. As he said though, even for a weapon scrapper it's worth it, especially for paragon protectors to stop them MoG'ing or using Unstoppable.

Right now, at this very moment, I have a level change and am about to choose a new power. I need a third 'punch' so i am thinking of Air Superiority. My question though is - how does it actually work? I mean, can I 'pluck' fliers out of the sky? How far up can they be? What range? etc Can you tell me?

It is a melee attack, so only from melee range. You'd have to get close to fliers first, which is why you pick fly next
On another note, air sup is the best power pool attack out there, for reasons stated above. If you want '3rd punch', get air sup.

It's also a dreamy PvP power.
If you're lucky enought to come close to a flyer you can knock him out of the sky with air superiority and watch as he looses a big chunk of health due to gravity.
Delicious!
