So, what to do on a business trip, far away from a PC with COH installed... Well, draw one of toons was the plan.

Here is Helana Armstrong. My Bots/TA MM.

Line Art

Fully Coloured

I havent ever done this before, but after the Bristol Comics expo, i just wanted to give it a go. So, for anyone else who wants to try, i found these links very useful! Even so, i had to sketch Helana over 12 times before a got a pose i was happy with , and her features in perspective. Still not sure about her right hand. Its supposed to be on an outstretched arm, coming towards the viewer.

Hellowie!

That's an awesome picture Chaplain! And the links are fantastic. It's great to see this recent mass of Art on the Creative Forums

And thanks for the guides, makes me want to give it go...

Her wrist looks broken, perhaps don't have the palm so open and have the hand going South East instead? Not sure if you know what I mean there...

It's a brilliant piece of work, regardless.

I really like it

That's quite a difficult pose to draw, and my opinion the left outstretched arm doesn't look broken, but perhaps slightly less palm showing would help in your 'draw through'.

Great stuff Chaplain, post more

Very good, if you are still concerned about the left arm.... try angling the shoulder slightly more towards the viewer, bending the elbow a bit more which in turn would mean foreshortening the forearm, also as a guide the open-palm hand is as big as the face but coming dramatically towards the viewer....its' even bigger!.
1st class effort though!
