Katana/Regen PvP Build - Help Needed!

Got my lvl 47 katana/regen and want to respec him for PvP but I'm having some real problems. I've got a rough build below which shows what I'd like to end up with. However, it looks pretty poor in Sirens, with too many important things slotted after 30 and a very light attack chain.

Here are my overall concerns:

-Not enough attacks before 30 and not enough slots in those I do have until late 30's/early 40's

- 2 Acc needed in attacks for Sirens but a little wasted when running FA at lvl 41+

- Late slotting of Build Up and Hasten again causes problems in Sirens

- Late slotting of DA again causes problems in.... You get the picture.

The only real changes I can see for Sirens is to take Build Up and stamina later. Is QR enough for me to run integration in Sirens and still be able to fight?

Can I trim a heal of reconstruction and health to slot an attack until after lvl 30?

(BTW, don't ask me why reconstruction has ACC in, it should be recharge and shows as recharge on the planner but exports as ACC)

Not wanting to put pressure on anyone giving advice but this alt was level 41 back in the days when IH was a clicky and ED didn't exist. As a result, I kind of abandoned him until recently and wasted a free respec and 2 normal ones fixing him.

That means I have one 'normal' respec that I really want to keep for emergencies so have to get the free I7 respec right on this alt

you dont need to slot intergration with that many end reduce, it doesn't cost too much end. And yes you will probebly be able to just have qr in sirens, since you'll have few attacks.

I would take out the 3 end reducers in integration, with Stamina and QR and no KEadership or Tough you should have more than enough end. I would put an additional accuracy in flashing steel, then 2 to hit in build up. Also worth considering going 2 acc 2-3 dam 1-2 Def so you have more DPS and not afraid of spamming it. No Lotus Drops is quite surprising as its your only defence against a stalker who hit placate. Also I think Stealth is of limited use maybe better off with Lazer Beam Eyes. Just a few thoughts

Hehe! I thought you wouldn't respec your katana/regen into a PvP build because its the "easy way out" if i remember from another thread!

Slotting!

Integration is overslotted. 3heal 1end redux is enough.

Health is overslotted, I wouldn't even take this unless there was nothing else left.

Stealth is overslotted.

Revive is overslotted.

Drop the extra slots from integration and stick them as tohitbuffs into build up.

I would stick 3 jumps in hurdle and the single jump in CJ, for the unsuppresed movement.

Your Moment of Glory slotting is a bit odd, It should not be 3 recharge/1 damage res, it should be 1damage res/3defence buff and if you wan't it up more often 2 recharge.

I would just stick with 1res damage and 3 defence buff for MoG.

Divine Avalanche drop the damage and stick a recharge on it so that it stacks more.

Power Choices!

Don't bother taking stealth, its a waste on a regen scrapper.

Drop Revive you don't need it at all for PvP.

Take swift over health, movement will give you a greater advantage in PvP than the actual regen. Movement win's fights.

I wouldn't really take MoG to be honest, on my regenner i was thinking of pickiing it up just for fun use, and maybe had some use against force bubblers, I was really disappointed with it when i tried it during the RV event. If however you do take it, don't put recharges on it, you won't need often.

I would pick up superspeed at 14, and use hudle/CJ with superspeed during bloody bay and sirens. It's better movement for chasing down people than SJ.

..So if you drop revive/stealth/MoG you have three powers free.

I would go assault/tactics from leadership, extra 10% damage and more tohitbuff. You could then get away with sloting 1acc 3damage 2 recharge to really increase your DPS, and pick up laser beam eyes for some range damage.

Order of Power choices and slots

Order of slotting isn't effected in sirens iirc, If you have dull pain slotted for 3 recharge or 3 heal at level 39 it will still have that recharge/heal factor when exemped granted the heal will be lower as your exemped.

As for the order of choices, I would keeping your current build to 30 as it is, maybe if you make the hurdle/cj change that i suggested. But instead of divine avalanced pick up resilence. There are a lot of stuns going about in sirens call especially with toggle dropping energy melee stalkers who can AS you drop integration then hit you with ET/bonesmasher and stun you. Innate disorient protection is v useful.

Yeah, but there's a new PvP SG starting up on Union made up from the merger of Three Lions and Knight Walkers. Unfortunately, Kal'tk and D-Zol are the only CoH alts I have over lvl 20 now as I deleted most for villain builds and my tank is staying PvE. As Kal has barely been touched in 3 months, he's the only real alternative I have. At least he's not spines

Saying that, I'll probably roll another hero and get levelling him to take over from Kal'tk as I'm guessing we won't be short on regens.

Given that I hate playing my WS/PB's I may try one of them or possibly a defender as I've not tried one.

Anyway, thanks for the advice. Always wondered about how the slotting worked and nice to have it confirmed I can pretty much slot in any order.

Wasn't too sure on MoG myself as I think it sucks as a power in PvE and just put it in for the sake of it. Same with Stealth and Revive, both taken just because couldn't really see much more worth taking.

I'll drop those 3 and replace them with swift, assault and tactics.

I'll knock up another build tonight and post it here now I have more of an idea.

I joined shortly later after time away from game, so was way behind the other PDs when it came to levelling villains on union

I'd agree if it wasn't Regen but by the time he gets out of the hospital he'll be at full health and end again anyway

I don't see how you'd need Stamina that early. QR is plenty good enough to last until 30s. I'd keep Hurdle in for Sirens but delay Health and Stamina, and get IH and TLD earlier instead. Definitely IH as it rocks in Sirens. Also, I know it's a respec build and all but what's Integration doing that late? You never know when you need to exemp and there seems to be no reason to delay it.

If I did a full PvP build for Idris, I think I'd consider Laser Beam Eyes. It's just so annoying when someone escapes with a sliver of health. Then again, everything you have looks useful so I don't know what I'd drop.

Drop divine avalanch it's not neccesary it will ruin your dps, and it won't really save you. Just run if you get into trouble. Take out slots in health and slot build up with tohit buffs.

Didn't take Stamina until 35 on my BS/Rgn, mainly PvE admittedly, but Katana uses less end per attack, and with QR and providing you don't run expensive toggles you should be fine.
