Heh, I really like this idea. Also the IC chat methods described using the brackets would help. Makes it easier to distinguish. (Plus they're instantly recogniseable to me from IRC and forum roleplay

Perhaps the Moderators of the GGOOC channel could be asked to set a message of the day with such information?
Would be up to the (majority of) moderators to say yea or nea.
One problem I see is that you can't remove a MotD, just replace it with an empty one.

Also, bare in mind that everything needs to take off first, and that takes time. Not everyone reads the same threads and indeed, there are people who do not read the forums at all. It'll be word of mouth to some. Just give it some time.
